My eldest son grew up playing keyboards, to cut a long story short, I used to borrow his keyboards at times and using the auto rhythms/bass used to knock out a tune with one finger. Well, I did play guitar so I suppose I did use more fingers but always one after the other. I quite enjoyed the sessions and recorded the outcomes on reel to reel tape  or later on cassettes. I have posted a playlist/album of these disasters on Soundcloud, just for complete journaling of my musical journeys...

The recent covers I have been doing of my early songs and recordings set me thinking... I decided to see what Suno could do with these instrumentals and this is the first - and possibly the last experiment. But I was pleasantly surprised again.

Every word carries the tension of inconsistency, showing how fragile a heart becomes when love feels like a swinging door. The chorus cuts through with power, repeating the demand for clarity: no more in and out, no more games, choose love or let go. Emotion builds verse by verse, from vulnerability to anger to determination, moving like a storm that finally clears the air. Between choruses, space and silence echo the hesitation, before the plea rises again with even greater urgency and force. By the third verse, resolve begins to replace doubt, the voice no longer begging but insisting it is time to stop playing. The last chorus hits harder than the rest, as the question becomes undeniable: either stay or go, no more half-measures in love. This is a song that many will recognize, because everyone has felt the sting of someone who cannot decide to be present. “In and Out” is not just a song—it is a declaration that love must be steady, true, and chosen without hesitation.
