ORCA has been slamming her way through a huge amount of podcast series spread out across the world and it was only a matter of time until she found herself here on Proxima.
Displaying a vast variety of progressive psychedelic elements layered over fast paced pulsating bass lines ORCA doesn't hold back when it comes to keeping the energy alive and pumping.
This trait doesn't only remain behind the decks, as she would have to be one of the most passionate and supportive members of Melbourne's scene at the moment.
Today's mix is comprised of some exceptionally tasteful selections of peak time techno, another incredible installment to the interceptions catalogue.

With his passion for music cemented in from a young age, Dylan discovered the sound that has inspired him since in the wee hours of the morning of Rainbow Serpents market stage in 2012. 
It was then that he discovered the dark, melodic and heaving techno beats that has helped curve his taste in music. 

Through his journey in the ever evolving and deepening music scene; Dylan plays under the alias of ‘Lowtep’ and blends a mixture of emotive darker, driving techno with the Melbourne collective of ‘Capture’. He also mixes it up from time to time with a funky and heavier tech house vibe alongside another Melbourne crew known as ‘Rewired Rhythms’. 
During these escapades it has seen him play venues such as Revolver Upstairs, My Aeon, New Guernica, DaHa Bar, Lucky Coq and internationally at Grand Cafe and Stevie’s in Lagos, Portugal. 

From melodic breaks and bushy, chugging bass; combined with a mixture of dark, ethereal and emotional tones. Experience what Lowtep has to offer.

A DJ of many genres from the eastern suburbs of Melbourne but has found inspiration in his music from the Australian bush. Slowly emerging into the competitive underground scene of Melbourne, Acaena has been turning heads with his tasteful selection of music and experimentation throughout a set.

Also known for his Co-Founding of ‘Proxima Frequencies’. A fresh collective in the scene constructed to not favor any direct style but to give people the opportunity to express themselves through music,art and dance.

A born rebel who lives for renegade parties, ORCA has been solidly carving her way into the heart of Melbourne nightlife and is now a label DJ for Techgnosis Records. ORCA is a some what of a techno connoisseur, proficient in the craft and very well known for tying a room together with her signature heavy sound; dripping with dark and psychedelic atmospheres. She's bold, brave and unique in her approach to finding music, ORCA has a wide range of influences and intricately weaves a new story with each performance.
Devilishly dark and always a little naughty, ORCA is well known for her delectable taste - Her playful sets and attention to detail has seen her support Twisted Sibling, Sumiruna, Hypnagog, Grouch, Terrafractyl, Gumnut, Kromagon, MELT, Triforce, Fabio Leal, Freedom Fighters, Ryanosaurus and a slew of her favourite locals. 
Alongside some rather memorable performances at Elements, Initiation, Burning Seed, Collective Delusion, Defragments, Crunchy Town, Paradox and all of her favourite institutions, she was recently invited to curate guest mixes for El Orden Secreto (Guatemala), Porridge Warehouse (London), End of Now (AUS), Red Moon Tribe (AUS), Sisters of Sound (AUS), Creatures (AUS), Requiem (AUS), Proxima Frequencies (AUS) and multiple online appearances for COVID ROOM (Italy).
Deeply inspired by her worldly adventures, and incredibly supportive of the local scene - ORCA can see her opportunities are endless... but her heart is in Australia; where she is really starting to make waves.

What is? 

His desires of smooth transitions come from the same place as his desires of mystical powers, he strongly believes that these two combine to make him a wizard who will catch your mind to the deepest part of its own wilderness and bring it back through your body for a majestic dance relief. Drums, spells, claps or just a single word will be some of his favorites ways to show his work behind the decks.
