This week we welcome back Astro Pleasure, an aspiring astronaut from Melbourne’s south east and is currently recruiting crew members to join him on an expedition to space.

AP, the alias of Brodie Hayward is a long time friend of the Proxima community and has had the “pleasure” of being a part of their success so far.

 He draws inspiration from all walks of life and many diverse oddities of music.   AP has explored many different genres and has a versatile musical background under his belt but mainly produces prog and techno. Which offers a truly pleasurable listening experience to those who are lovers of dance music.

Equipped with a whole bunch of world class unreleased tunes as well as an inventory of tastefully picked tunes to suit his uniquely raw blend of melodic yet driving progressive techno, AP will be sure to make you feel something throughout a set.
 
Although talented, Brodie is constantly improving. We don't think it will be much longer until we see him slamming a dusty dance floor at your favourite bush doof and for us at Proxima, we can't wait.

Dark, atmospheric and experiential in design, Paddy Carroll’s (Unknown Concept) sound resonates across local and international dance floors with accelerated momentum. Laced with progressive psychedelia and minimal undertones, his productions have seen him support some of his favourite artists, with performances at institutional events across Europe, Asia, North America and Oceania.
From Montreal’s Groove & Bass Festival and Victoria’s Esoteric Festival to Berlin’s Sisyphos and Birgit nightclubs, Paddy’s performances are as diverse as the labels on which he features. With mainstay releases on Alpaka Muzik, Digital Structures, Alula Tunes, Recovery Collective, Techgnosis Records, and Digital Diamonds, the SixthSense Australia resident is steadily defining the electronic music landscape with promising evolution in the years to come.

Neither bidgee nor widgee, although picky with the grooves to make you shimmy. Curating moods, shifting dance floors and finding that sweet spot of connectivity is what Bidgee is all about when it comes to mixing tunes. 

A DJ of many genres from the eastern suburbs of Melbourne but has found inspiration in his music from the Australian bush. Slowly emerging into the competitive underground scene of Melbourne, Acaena has been turning heads with his tasteful selection of music and experimentation throughout a set.

Also known for his Co-Founding of ‘Proxima Frequencies’. A fresh collective in the scene constructed to not favor any direct style but to give people the opportunity to express themselves through music,art and dance.
