Hailing from North Wales (UK), Substrate, is a veteran Drum and Bass Dj and Producer of over 12 years

As well as producing and Dj'ing, Substrate also owns and runs his labels 'Trichome Productions' (techy dnb)and 'Digital Dub Recordings' (old school jungle).

2014 saw Substrate sign his first major release 'Interference' to Basher of 'Ram Records' label 'Proximity Recordings' which has gained him a lot of recognition had excellent reviews.

2014 also saw Substrate become resident to 'Revolution' Drum and Bass/Jungle Events&nights held in and around North Wales.

Rapidly formed in early 2010 Proximity Recordings has been brought to the stage by a group of like minded individuals who have the means and capabilities to put out high quality dance music at an alarming rate whilst still managing to maintain originality and diversity within every release.

Video games don't ruin kids. If Pac-Man ruined us as kids, we would all be running around in darkened rooms, eating magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music. 


I like lots of music, if my ears were gone I probably  couldn't listen to things anymore...
