Everybody has some critical moments in life. Sometimes it can be hard to absorve and pass trough it, but we should learn with these moments, filter what is good and what is not, we keep only as past. This release is all about storytelling, a powerful trip into "Critical Moment" and going to a "Lost in Time" experience. A trully dancefloor banger you must listen.

"Saudade" by OOOD and DJ Emok is the sound of a wistful longing for something indefinable, the subtle chord sequence drawing us onwards towards the fulfilling of an absence we cannot describe. We disappear into its flowing arpeggios and implied melodies as the groove carries us forwards. Perhaps the object of our longing can be found in the "Moon Forest", a deeply grooved landscape where strange fragments of melody blossom like harmonic fruits bursting from the regolith branches of ancient trees, where alien voices recite powerful incantations that warp reality and bring into existence enticing treats to eat. We try one, it's "Fresh Baked", and as soon as the first tingles come on we know we're in for a wild ride. Our feet begin to move compulsively. Next our hips do things they've never done before. Soon our faces start making shapes that shouldn't be anatomically possible. It's those alien voices again, they're back and this time they mean business. Maybe we should have only eaten half?

little bit slower than i usually go although theres lots going on and the energy is quite high so you'll likely barely notice the slight tempo decrease.
The sample I used is from Hamilton's Pharmacopeia where Hamilton Morris interviews famed LSD chemist Casey Hardison.

Operation Pathfinder

Listener is the psytrance project of Dean Claassens. After being introduced to his first outdoor festival in 2012, the bug bit and he tried to attend as many festivals as possible. After having a profound experience in 2013, the seed of playing psytrance music for others had been planted. Being ever inquisitive, Dean had spent many years teaching himself the theory of DJing before finally purchasing his equipment and teaching himself practically.

Listener is very much led by melody, believing it to be the fundamental character in which a musical journey can be created. He believes in creating flow in music to hold a space so that those present can feel safe to evolve within themselves and to receive what they need at the time.

Listener debuted at Summer Camp in November 2021 to emphatic positive feedback and has played at every Summer Camp festival since. He joined the Psy-Kick Tuesdays radio show, aired on Mutha-FM. Hosted by @gryphon-x, Listener became a monthly resident on the line-up until the show ended in October 2023. He has also been asked to play at festivals in the Garden Route of the Western Cape, including ECHO Gatherings and Community. In Cape Town, Listener will be found on many Hidden Leaf Festival line-ups.
