Un remezcla de James Bass del tema TECNO de Lumineon incluido en “Expansion Modular EP” (El Rancho-Lumineon, 2012) Grabado en El Establo (Sevilla) y Bassaholics Studio (San Francisco, California), mezclado y masterizado en Estudio La Mina con Raúl Pérez en octubre de 2012.

James Bass (Bassaholics, Nude Photo Music) es un DJ y productor afincado en San Francisco. Sus producciones y sesiones están a caballo entre el techno de Detroit y el dub-techno Berlines, con toques de Chicago jacking house.

Lumineon es una banda de música electrónica de baile orientada al club. Sus directos combinan Techno y House, experimentando con los límites de cada género, con un setup que mezcla instrumentos electrónicos y analógicos (grooveboxes y sintetizadores) con computadoras. Lumineon es la culminación del trabajo de años de sus integrantes: Pascual Rocher (VJ, arte sonoro y experimentación, organizador de Familiar Fest), Jesús Mora (DJ) y Juan Valverde - Perla- (DJ). Éste último vuelve de su estancia norteamericana donde publicó su primer trabajo "Casas Viejas" con el sello De’fchild Productions (California, EEUU) y "You are Threatened" con Auralism Records (California, EEUU). 

Los directos de Lumineon han podido disfrutarse en lugares como Monkey Week, Red Bull Local Art, El Establo (su local de ensayo y sala de micro-conciertos compartido con Pony Bravo) o Megatron, un micro-festival celebrado en junio donde hicieron las delicias de los asistentes en una sesión mítica por el contexto y la calidad que desplegaron.

En los platos, las sesiones de Lumineon DJs aglutinan Techno y House, Berlín y Detroit, Ámsterdam y Chicago, analógico y digital, moderno y vintage… música de baile sin concesiones.

A finales de 2012 la banda lanza, bajo licencia Creative Commons, y en colaboración con El Rancho casa de discos su primera referencia en formato EP "Expansión Modular", cinco temas mezclados y masterizados por Raúl Pérez en su estudio La Mina, mientras ultiman los detalles de "Bentos" un EP con tres canciones y dos remezclas (Ruoho Ruotsi y Triton) que será publicado por De’fchild Productions a finales de 2012, nuevamente con mezcla de Estudios La Mina y masterizado por Jammin' Masters Berlin.

James Bass (Bassaholics, Nude Photo Music) is a DJ and producer based in San Francisco. His productions and sessions are halfway between Detroit techno and dub-techno Berlines, with touches of jacking Chicago house.

Lumineon is a club-oriented electronic dance music band. Their live sets combine Techno and House with special emphasis on experimentation and the exploration of the limits of both genres. Their live set up brings together analog instruments with computer based software.

Lumineon represents the culmination of the work of its members coming together: Pascual Rocher (VJ, experimental sound artist, Familiar Fest organizer), Jesús Mora (DJ) and Juan Valverde - Perla- (DJ). As Perla, Juan Valverde has published music on De’fchild Productions (“CasasViejas EP”) and Auralism Records ("You are Threatened"), both labels from California, US.

Lumineon has played live sets in a variety of gigs, most prominently at Monkey Week Festival, Red Bull Local Art Festival, El Establo (rehearsal studio and micro-concerts gig shared with Pony Bravo band) or Megatron, a new underground festival held in Sevilla on June, where they banged the crowd with a now legendary live set.

At the decks, Lumineon DJs sessions range from Techno to House, Berlin to Detroit, Amsterdam to Chicago, analog to digital, modern to vintage…electronic dance music without compromises.

At the end of 2012, the band will be releasing, under Creative Commons, their first EP "Expansión Modular", packed with 4 techno bangers and a remix by James Bass from San Francisco. The release is made in collaboration with “El Rancho Casa de Discos” and has been mixed and mastered at “Estudios La Mina” with Rául Pérez. In the mean time, their first release on De’fchild Productions label will see the light before the end of 2012, again mixed at “Estudios La Mina” but this time mastered at Jammin’ Masters Berlin. The EP is called “Bentos” and contains 3 originals and two remixes by label honcho Ruoho Ruotsi and Triton (Zero G Sounds label head).

Berlin:Detroit - a musical alliance that resonates deeply with electronic music lovers around the world and has done for the past two decades. Add Belfast to this equation and you have Irish duo Psycatron who have dropped releases on both sides of the Atlantic through Carl Craig's Planet E Communications from Detroit, as well as Berlins' Tresor imprint, while also finding time for the odd excursion on the likes of Scuba's Hotflush Recordings, R&S Records, Cocoon and their own upcoming Inflyte Records, which alongside being a home for their own output, is set to feature material from the likes of Francesco Tristano, Dave Clarke and Kirk Degiorgio in it's opening year.
Their touring schedule has followed a similar global trajectory, touching down everywhere from Fabric to Berghain, The Rex Club and Barracca, to Movement Festival in Detroit, I Love Techno in Belgium and many more of the best clubs and festivals worldwide. In between tours they continue their long-standing residency at Ireland's longest-running techno institution, Shine in Belfast.
With musical influences ranging from Depeche Mode and Kraftwerk to Underground Resistance and Jean Michel Jarre, it's easy to see where the raw emotion, tension and energy prevalent in their music stems from. Being born less than 12 hours apart and subsequently growing up hitting the same techno parties in Belfast, is another common bond that has helped shape the Psycatron sound, where the past clearly influences the future but has an entirely different slant on it.
Touring with Carl Craig and Planet E, ending up on Fact Magazines Top 50 Tracks of the year and performing on London's infamous Boiler Room TV are some of the recent highlights of this duos career who among their fan count you'll find the likes Depeche Mode's Martin L Gore, Francois K and Dave Clarke.
