This month features a dual installment of the Fractal Flight Simulator series.

I thought it would be a perfect opportunity to share the blessing I was given of piloting the sunset on the first day, and the sunrise on the last day of this intimate gathering.

Big shout out to the LostProject crew, and main man John Lee from Purple hexagon records for giving me the opportunity to pilot these two magical timeslots.

FFS 3.1 – Sunset Stories

On the opening day, I was tasked with playing from 5pm-7pm to transition from light to dark, and I had an absolute blast playing music a bit slower and ‘lighter’ than my regular style. I took the dancefloor from a sturdy 145bpm daytime galloping fun, up to a groovy night-time-ish 147bpm. Big Shout out to, Iridian and his album - Into the Vortex which almost features entirely in this set. Absolutely incredible music that I feel perfectly fit the sunset theme at this specific event which catered to the higher BPM crowd.

This set includes releases from Psynopticz, Patronus, Protoned, Tip, and Maharetta.

This all new radioshow Maharetta Records‘ series on the Trance channel is kicking off by label runner Zac Lee a.k.a. DJ NEUTRON.

UK Based DJ, Zac Lee known as Neutron, Began his journey Into the world of music from the day he was born, with the help from highly Influential parents, The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Deep Purple and Pink Floyd, James Brown, Howlin’ Wolf and Muddy Waters, where all familiar records whilst growing up. This undoubtedly contributed towards the enthusiasm and obsession Zac carries with him today. By around the age of 8 years old, he managed to cobble together his first pair of belt driven turntables. Falling apart and weighted with a penny, this was where he very slowly experimented with different types of electronic music.  Today, that same meticulous taste and Instant recognition for a great record has lead him to become the manager for successful Psychedelic Trance label, Maharetta Records, where he continues to look for and push Inspiring, Innovative music.  With one foot firmly In the past, Zac’s trance roots extend back to the days of Dragonfly Records, T.IP, Flying Rhino and early Nano Records sound, and still holds a small record collection of the very same music that originally captivated him, all those years ago.

Next up on BMSS Records series is Italian producer, Marcello “M-THEORY”.

M-THEORY Bio 2017 M-THEORY has produced a full studio album and a number of EPs, remixes and tracks on labels such as BMSS, Alchemy, Free-Spirit, Antu, Blacklite, Neurobiotic, Profound and more. He has played at some of the leading festivals around the world like Boom, Ozora, Universo Paralello, Antaris, Fusion, Glade, The Experience, Sonica, Indian Spirit and Aeon Gathering, as well as in club nights across Europe and at London squat parties. Marcello started djing as soon as he arrived in England from Italy at the end of the Nineties. He became an event promoter and was one of the founders of the legendary ͚Fairy Tales͛ parties in London. CIMI, his first project as a producer, was born in 2003 and was inspired by early progressive and full-on psytrance. After a few releases, Marcello teamed up with his former partner Rob Nichols and started to work on M-THEORY. Together they gravitated towards a faster psychedelic sound. The CIMI project was put on hold while M-THEORY were touring and producing their first full-on psytrance album ͚Branes͛, released by Alchemy Records in 2009. Marcello went solo as M-THEORY at the beginning of 2011. During this transition he also resumed his work on CIMI and was signed to UK label Furthur Progressions, which released ͚White World Bridger͛, his progressive debut album, in 2013. M-THEORY has been steadily producing and releasing music since. He has worked with prominent names, including Zen Mechanics, Sonic Species, Pixel, Rinkadink, Hypnocoustics, Burn In Noise and Earthling, and remixed tracks by the likes of Cosmosis, Avalon, Gaudi and ManMadeMan. He has regular studio collaborations with talented artists and dedicates any spare time to honing his mastering skills.
