For this edition of the Forsvarlig Podcast Series we have Berlin-based Blazej Malinowski behind the decks. Originally from Poland, he is the founder and curator of the Inner Tension label, which features a variety of his own work as well as upcoming artists in the scene. His other work has been released on established labels such as Kontrafaktum, Semantica, Silent Season and The Gods Planet. As for the nearby future, he'll release a stellar remix of Svarog’s 'Passengers' next week on PROPHET Recordings. Be sure to check that one out as well.

In this mix Blazej has selected some work of both well-known and rising artists in the scene, something we thoroughly enjoy. Altered states are stimulated with tracks that make a perfect fit. Expect a deep blend of hypnotic rhythms and organic techno with chiming textures. Enjoy.

On the 5th Day Podcast #138 - Hypnotic Black Magic

On the 13th episode of Lasya, we had a signature-style mix by host @klara_vedis, delivered to us in audio-only straight from Frankfurt. For the second hour, she has invited an artist coming from Leipzig - @kontinum, who contributed a live mix including only his original works. On this show, you could also hear the remix he did for Klara - The Desert Of Dream track, coming soon on Circular Limited. 

Guest Bio: 
Jonas, who grew up in the far north of Germany, moved to Leipzig after
20 years of wind and rain. There he was quickly inspired by the
prevailing sounds of the Institut fuer Zukunft and finally started the
Kontinum project in 2016 with a focus on atmospheric and dissociative
Techno. Over the years, the palette of sounds grew and now ranges from
ambient to deep techno to contemporary club-oriented techno.

In 2017, he founded the Nebula collective with a couple of friends and
started hosting the first illegal events. In the course of time, Nebula
has also found its way into the Leipzig club scene and is now an
integral part of it.

Over the years, Jonas has continued to develop and perfect his own sound
and has had the chance to release on labels such as The Gods Planet,
Lowless and Circular Limited.

Since 2021, he has the privilege of being a resident at Institut fuer
Zukunft.

Our next guest needs no introduction. Legendary figure in the deep tchno scene, Svarog - Ukrainian DJ and musician who fills the dance floor with the spirit of mysticism and harmony.  His music dives you into a hypnotic atmosphere, sometimes with epc or dramatic accents. Landscape textures and saturated timbres in the tracks create a magical flow, forcing the listener to dive deep into dance or meditation. 

According to the mythology, Svarog - AKA the Slavic God - separated the world of the living from the dead, thus establishing order. The separation would have become the legendary Ukrainian Smorodina River, defended by a demon on the Kalinov Bridge.

His productions have find a home in labels like Circular Limited, Semantica records, Dynamic reflection, Affin, just to name a few. 

Over the years Svarog has been an inspirational figure in the scene that  we follow and love,  It is with great reverence and joy that we welcome him to our podcast series, where he graces us with an hour of profound depth and boundless beauty,  a testament to the eternal dance between light and shadow. Ness is the alias of Andrea Deplano, a pioneering force in the world of deep and hypnotic techno, with a career spanning over a decade. Raised in Sardinia, with a background in sound engineering and a passion for obsessive rhythms and atmospheric soundscapes, he has honed his craft to masterful levels. His performances and productions are a journey through the depths of techno, with a focus on hypnotic rhythms and immersive textures. Over the years, he has performed at some of the world's most renowned clubs and festivals. He has also collaborated with several respected labels in the industry, showcasing his ability to seamlessly incorporate contemporary sounds in his productions. In addition to his work as a producer and DJ, he has also made significant contributions to the techno community sometimes as an event organizer more often as a label manager. In 2010, he co- founded The Gods Planet, an Italian electronic music label that quickly gained recognition for its innovative and high-quality techno releases.
