Inspired by high mountain ecosystems and indigenous cultural and musical environments, Zemög composes Ambient, Deep-tribal and Dub taking as a sound source modular synthesis, natural field recordings and captures of aboriginal and meditation instruments becoming a well known name for his mystic style on productions. 

He starts exploring production in 2011 and as a DJ in 2012 with his old project called Tsynth, with which he released two EPs, "White Sand" for "ALSS" and "Woods" for "Tono Limited", in addition to some remixes.

In 2016 he began to develop his Zemög project and it was until 2019 when he decided to release his first works. "Vuoto EP" was the first release in the From a Lost Place label and months later "Orinoco EP" published under the Italian label Ordinamento Selettivo. In 2020 with his track "Gudayka" releases his first vinyl 12 "sharing a VA with Korridor and Launaea for From a Lost Place next to others releases later: 'Timbiquí' in Circular Limited and 'La Morte di Socrate' in Different Exhibition's Italian label.

He was part of the Technosis collective for 6 years, had one year residency at the “Parallel” club and another year at the “HUM” club located in the heart of Pereira. He has performed “warm up” for Claudio PRC, Abdulla Rashim, Korridor, SNTS, Hector Oaks and others. He currently resides in Bogotá and is a member and visual artist of Matteria Collective, a group dedicated to making events and fostering culture through electronic music. He has played in several cities in Colombia such as: Pereira, Manizales, Armenia, Medellín, Toro, Oriente, Ibagué and Bogotá.

Human Lessons #051 - Zemög

Our fragment series continues. This month's story is told by Vanta.

Originally from a metalcore and hardcore background, Marvin has always enjoyed electronic and experimental music. Heavily influenced by this and the techno scene in Leipzig his focus are impulsive rhythms, dissociative sounds, and dark and eerie atmospheres. 

As a founding member of PVC, he is also co-organizing raves in clubs and woods around the Leipzig area. For a few years now, he has been exploring the world of producing. 

Releasing on Labels like Aarden Records, Crescent London, Further Sessions, Proselytizing, or Charybdis he is establishing himself in the scene always seeking to refine his sound.

‘’ For podcasts, I usually start with an idea or a concept of sorts what I personally expect of a certain podcast series and start digging through all the amazing artists and labels to find something that suits that concept. This can take as little as a few hours from start to finish but also has been taking me a few months and that is not in a bad way. I remember a friend of mine told me when I started DJing, that DJing is not about beat-matching perfectly but about selecting and flow and storytelling. ‘’

Irrespective of their place on the running order, Tom Szabo & Brayden Warburton of Melbourne based duo fütwerk continue to demonstrate a remarkable ability to impress.
Known for impeccable track selection and an uncanny ability to connect to a crowd the duo have earned the attention and respect of the electronic music community, solidifying themselves as a pioneering force in Melbourne’s deep techno movement.
The last three years has seen some noteworthy career highlights. These include support sets for musical inspirations Deepbass, Matrixmann and Etapp Kyle, whilst also performing at Burning Seed, Rainbow Serpent and Wildwood.
Long-term lovers of electronic music, their voyage into production has drawn heavy sonic influence from their natural surroundings, as well as those more reminiscent of the cosmos and all its wonders.

Hypno Series #13: POUSSIÈRE DIAMANT

Our next artist was born in 1973 in Sardinia. He fell in love with music at the age of 15 years, starting to frequent a local radio station and then intrigued by the DJ world trying to understand its secrets. The first gigs and then the residence at the k2 club and for 3 years at the Sueno de Ibiza club, one of the most important techno club in Italy. Later entry into the Sound of Mix roaster, which led him to play in many European events and clubs. Slowly the sound changes up to the hypnotic and dark techno, never too fast and with a deep groove. Currently he is a very active producer on both  vinyl and digital with releases on @planetrhythmrec, @seancelimited , Subsist, @attseries, @nowayrec, Black rec. and many others. He also carries on his very personal ambient project, with 2 albums released on @anay_jp and the monobass project with his friend of all time DJDatch. Sound is his work, mix and master engineer, sound designer and teacher of sound synthesis. Soon he is scheduled for two new vinyl releases on @seancelimited and @nowayrec. Starting off with a short dramatic note, the set he's recorded for us quickly turns into a more poetic, cinematic exploration calling on a Baudelaire-ish vibe.. Based in Prague, Martin started his artistic project in 2014 focusing on a live modular techno project which aim to present a variety of sounds that goes from dark ambient atmospheres and drones to hypnotic techno.

His sound can be described as a symbiosis of the deeper realms of techno,

melodic & minimal techno influences blended with a new found inspiration for
deep and hypnotic techno.

Vishal is also the newly appointed Label Manager + A&R for Indiaʼs Qilla
Records, and also works closely with Swedish Psychedelic Deep Techno label,
Hypnus Records, both of which have played a critical role in his sonic journey.
Apart from this, he also takes electronic music production classes, [O3 Studio,
Goa & Pluginmusic, Netherlands] finding it immensely rewarding to help
beginners get started on their music making journey.
