Monochrome presents, Automne II : Amadeus(Dj Set), Exocet.

This autumn, Monochrome is offering each month to one or several artists to discover their influences and inspirations through a forty-five minute to two hour recording. These three recordings will focus on Ambient, IDM and Dub-Techno.

Artist biography :

Amadeus is a French electronic music lover based in Paris, and resident Dj of Collectif Exocet 
With a deep taste for hypnotism and storytelling, he weaves his universe between ambient, downtempo, and more tribal-oriented sounds. He has featured on some podcast channels such as Anodynic Frequencies and Collectif Exocet. 
For him, electronic music is both a refuge for introspection and a way to communicate emotions, with a strong attachment to nature and elements. 
For this episode, he took inspiration from Norwegian mountains, and more especially the Gudvangen fjords, where he travelled last summer. Through a combination of dark, mystic textures and drums, he invites us to immerse in the deep, cold and mysterious universe of the Nordic valleys.

Defined by a rich and immersive sound design, Other Form’s original tracks and remixes have earned support from the likes of Ben Klock, Svreca, Paula Temple, Takaaki Itoh, Nørbak, Stephanie Sykes, Laurent Garnier, and Amotik, with Charlotte de Witte and Enrico Sangiuliano choosing the track “Further Still” to open their Age of Love livestream.

Glasgow based Fernie has been immersing himself in the local scene since 2002 taking influences from the city's many techno stalwarts holding residences at a number of the areas key venues allowing him to hone his style over the years.

He provides both deep and driving hypnotic sets full of energy and soaring pads. This same ethos is relayed through his own productions which have seen release across a wide selection of respected labels.

Most recently he continues to develop his own Space Textures imprint facilitating the release of some of the finest atmospheric techno on offer. He also works with the influential Norway based Monument group to deliver podcasts and streams from artists around the globe.

In this session for Temple.Prayer, Fernie delivers a near 2 hour mix of both vinyl and digital selections with a number of unreleased productions and picks from the vaults providing a meandering journey into his mind.

Latmos is a Finnish Techno producer, DJ and live artist, known from his handcrafted and hypnotic tracks. All of his music is made live with hardware only. He first frew attention in the Techno community with his strong debut 12” Pool of Intuition EP, released on Samuli Kemppi’s and Frederik Hatsav’s label Blacklabel Distillery. Latmos has released music on labels such as Subosc and Cinus. The music of Latmos has been supported around the globe by well respected DJs like: Oscar Mulero, Patrik Skoog, Dimi Angelis, P.E.A.R.L, Denise Rabe, Magna Pia, Dino Sabatini, Vincent Neumann, Samuli Kemppi and Juho Kusti to name a few.
Latmos is known from his adventurous style as a DJ. He is able to transition effortlessly from a different mood or tempo to another and keep the listeners always on their toes. As a verstile DJ Latmos can adapt into many different venues and occasions, always bringing something fresh and
interesting to the table.

For this one we're glad to introduce a great music selector, DOC, who honoured us with a deep full vinyl selection.

DOC's selections are conceived as a psychedelic adventure, taking ingredients of techno, ambient, dub, and anything thats fits into his concept of deep and hypnotic. 
His monthly podcast "Selene Series", out each full moon, is a good taste of what his sound has to offer. As a producer he journeys the depths of modular sounds from his studio in Amsterdam.

Lovely vibing atmospheres, introspective melodies and clean blends are to be expected from this trippy selection, in which the artist displays his curation skills and a great trance evolution through out the mix.

In this TOTIM Origins episode, the guest artist is BIOCYM, a Southern Italian artist who aims to express his feelings towards reality by releasing a kind of music whose purpose is to arouse emotions that meet in the atmosphere in which these feelings are found to unravel. The main nucleus of his work reflects the attitude that must embody a man to move in a dark and inscrutable reality that must be faced by exploring it ineluctably. The project represents the way the artist deals with the mode of being aroused inside him by the contemplation of the infinite variety of landscapes of the real and proposes its progressive deepening. His music is the meeting point of his two influences: natural sounds and those other sounds generated by his creativity. About the mix, Biocym says: "The concept is to create something in crescendo starting from ambient, dub and deep techno until finishing with a more techno mood. Since it lasts 2 hours I wanted to range from genres a bit to create a certain story. I played "Lagoon Tower" which is one of my latest tracks which was released on a different label in November."
