Alt-rock artist Rise Bailey Rise has been described as sounding like Beck busking with Thom Yorke and Billy Corgan on the London Underground. Rich’s songwriting is influenced by the sharp pop-songcraft, otherworldly electronic textures, and beats of New Order, Depeche Mode, Human League, and other 1980s UK pop. Alongside these influences, Rich was enamored with Seattle’s angsty 1990s scene, including bands such as Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Alice in Chains, and edgy alternative artists like Radiohead and NIN. Rise Bailey Rise features lyrics brimming with vulnerability, veiled cultural references, layered meanings, and dark-sided explorations. The project’s curious moniker is pinched from the initials of his children plus a nickname given to him.  

Rich’s rise in music is intriguing—no one in is his family was musically inclined, and he never had formal lessons. Yet, he was destined to be a songwriter/artist. Rich’s immediate instinct upon getting a guitar was to write songs, and, armed with a 4-track cassette recorder, he spent his teen years writing. His shyness kept music a private pursuit, though, and he was basically coaxed into joining his first band.

They bring influences from Rock, Punk, Post Hardcore and Grunge together to mould a dark, melodic, hook laden sound. 

The band started playing live shows in 2013. They have played with Funeral for a Friend, Random Hand, Beach slang, Gnarwolves, Trigger Effect, Menshevik, Spoilers, The Dissociates and The Social Club. 

The band have also received national radio play on Radio1’s Punk Show with Mike Davies.

Sonoran desert rock trio Venkman's Ghost have been making an impression in their dusty border town with a unique blend of hypnotic drum beats and crunchy rocking riffs. Husband and wife team, guitarist and bassist "Danger" Dave and "Mos Stef" Stefani spent evenings creating riffs and lyrics acoustically before adding friend Obed Salgado onto the drums for some solid jamming. What emerged was a groovy sound that has driven Venkman's Ghost into the forefront of the local music showcase with heavily distorted grinding guitar riffs and thumping fuzzy bass lines. The band won cash prize at Z93's Battle of the Band in 2015. The trio continues to play locally and out of town shows in San Diego and surrounding Southwest areas. Their EP 'Gave My Baby The Blooze', recorded at Cat Soup Studios in Arizona is now available on Soundcloud. They've recorded their first full length LP 'Nightmares & Daydreams' at ViewPoint Media Studios in Yuma AZ, available on iTunes and Spotify, as well as at Hastings Entertainment in Yuma and Fusion Dispensaries of Wellton in Wellton, AZ.
