For this edition of our MIXED BY series, we're thrilled to welcome Gearmaster, the fresh alias from the minds behind former duo Abdul Raeva. Emerging from the vibrant underground scene of Tallinn, Gearmaster represents a new chapter marked by a refined sonic identity — “more groove, less goof,” as they put it.

In the interview, the duo reflects on their artistic evolution, explaining how the Gearmaster project distills years of experimentation into something more deliberate and groovy, while still carrying the punch and playfulness that made their previous work stand out. Both a DJ and Producer hailing from Paris, first honed a dark, industrial aesthetic as a member of the Champ Libre collective. With the launch of SpunyLove Records, he embraced a brighter, more playful direction, fusing Breakbeat, Trance, Big Beat & Techno-Disco into an exuberant sonic blend. 

After establishing himself in Paris, he quickly took his sound abroad, performing in cities like Tokyo, Seoul, Kyiv, and Saint Petersburg, sharing his singular vision of nightlife across borders. His music lives in the space between rave melancholy and tongue-in-cheek exuberance, gliding effortlessly across genres and time zones alike. One clear mission drives it all: to make people dance—no labels, just energy.

This young producer from Puglia began his carrier with a House repertoire, mainly led by his passion for soul and jazz music; although his definitive dimension relies in dub and techno music. During 2014 he became a resident deejay for ϕυση which allowed him to perform right next artists like :Tama Sumo, Jonas Kopp, Tripeo, Regal e Ben Gibson.

After some international releases he founded MM AUDIO: his own label with Drafted in which he worked both on original tracks and remixes for Echoplex and Kaelan. His music is mainly based on the use of chords and pads, in order to create a status where drum breaks and aggressive grooves are dominant.
