Su sonido se centra en el Progressive House, un lienzo que utiliza para pintar paisajes auditivos que se conectan directamente con la emoción del oyente.

Fiel a un camino independiente, Javier Rodríguez opera fuera de alianzas comerciales, impulsado únicamente por la intención de compartir la música en su forma más pura. Lo que importa es la experiencia: un estilo auténtico y personal donde la pasión y la creatividad se fusionan para contar historias sonoras que te invitan a un viaje atemporal en la pista de baile..

Chilean-born DJ/Producer SIMPLY CITY began his music career embedded in clubs and raves in his native city of Santiago under the alias Cesar “Bass” Romero. After developing a reputation as one of the most in-demand DJ’s in his home country, Cesar left Chile to begin touring across Latin America, Asia, Europe, and North America in the pursuit of launching his DJ career. 

Cesar then spent many years traveling and touring the world internationally as a DJ. It was Montreal, however, where he decided to root himself after much time abroad. Here, he gained a coveted spot as a resident at Montreal's world famous Stereo Afterhours, where he’s been engaging crowds and developing his sound for over 10 years. 

Stereo’s globally recognized sound system, acoustic space, and dedicated club-goers gave Cesar the opportunity not only to apply his breadth of experience as a career DJ, but also to explore a variety of new musical territories. At Stereo, Cesar never fails to flex his mixing skills to an audience of “stereo-heads”; always taking them on truly sonic and atmospheric journeys through his music. Whether opening up the room for some of the biggest names in electronic music or taking over the space for an “all night long” set, Cesar’s mastery of tight mixing and careful track selection have garnered him respect both locally and internationally. 

Outside of DJing, Cesar has released several tracks on some of the most well-renowned progressive house labels; ultimately putting himself on the map as one Montreal’s most recognized progressive house producers. SIMPLY CITY continues to play his music beyond Canada’s borders, and consistently delivers his infectious Stereo flare to audiences across the world.

BIOGRAPHY

Behind the alias Mike Gannu is a DJ and producer based in Ibiza, quickly establishing himself as one of the most exciting talents in today’s melodic techno scene. Active since 2009, he has carved out a distinctive path with high-energy sets, a deep connection with the dancefloor, and a refined blend of melodic, club-oriented, and tribal-inspired sounds.

Mike’s recent output showcases his evolution as a producer, with standout releases on influential labels such as Sementa (Glowal), Species (Mia Mendi), and his own imprint Eklektisch. His collaborations with Fat Cosmoe have gained traction across the scene, and his work has also landed on Automatik, the label curated by Henri Bergmann, and on Samer Soltan’s label with both an EP and a remix. His solo EP on Atlant (BOg) highlights his ability to craft immersive tracks with tribal and ancestral textures.

As label manager of Fayer and Eklektisch, Mike works closely with longtime friend Edu Imbernon, helping push both imprints to the forefront of the electronic music scene. He also plays a key role in curating Fayer events, having hosted top-tier artists such as Dixon, Jimi Jules, Innellea, Artbat, Maceo Plex, and Denis Horvat, among many others.

With a fun-loving, sensitive, and determined spirit, Mike Gannu continues to evolve — driven by a deep desire to connect with people through music and share meaningful experiences on and off the dancefloor. His journey, shaped by years spent in vibrant cities like London and Ibiza, remains guided by one mission: to move both body and soul.

The label’s ‘We Are The Future’ compilation series has long been one of the best showcases of new and undiscovered artists. Released quarterly these exclusive collections are now revered industry wide for not only developing new talent but for featuring some of the freshest most cutting edge music around. 2024 holds even more promise for this flourishing imprint with a bevy of exciting releases and an ever expanding artist roster.
