Faery is a London-based DJ whose hypnotic selections weave together the psychedelic reaches of deep techno, tripped-out psy, and dark, vortex-like DnB. A lover of both pitched-down chuggers and fast-paced rollers alike, her sound connects the dots through a focus on intricate sound design and rich, moody textures. 

Over the past year, she’s played at iconic venues and festivals across Europe, including Amsterdam’s De School, Positive Education Festival, London’s Village Underground, and Berlin’s Renate. Alongside her club appearances, Faery explores the world-building potential of sound, connecting it to her interest in environmental theory through her Bio-17 sound art project - where original biorhythmic samples are woven into experimental ambient to create speculative sonic worlds.

Her storytelling for this beautiful journey : "For the beginning of the mix I was picturing water dripping from the roof of a cave - the atmospheres at this point are quite cavernous. Then there’s a deep pulsating section that feels like distant tectonic activity. As we delve deeper into the cave network we reach a complex system of tunnels and eventually reach the chaos of spitting, liquified magma"

For the seventh installment of our Identity formation listening sessions, we are happy to announce @hems. Hems is a London-based producer and record collector, usually creating Ambient music with experimental sonic elements. 

This episode's style is very different from what hems usually plays. That said, it is not less amazing: the 1-hour listening session invites us on a journey which combines Jazz and electronic soundscapes. The result is a multi-facetted composition, ranging from calming beats, to versatile melodies and trippy vocals. Hopefully, you enjoy it as much as we do!
