Hailing from Hyperion, the strange sponge satellite moon of Saturn, a small detachment transmitted a celebration of the Lunar New Year from our stellar moon bass. Our humble envoys and intrepid adventurers extended frequencies into the celestial fabric with our sister moon and the earthly lunar new year of the Water Tiger. The crystalline core of our dance powered spaceship was well stoked as we blast through the cosmos, sharing time and dance across the space through our intergalactic viewing portals. We captured some audio from Entelechy's time at the helm, and wanted to share it with you so that it may continue to inspire the journey ahead.

Beautiful, tribal, and fierce... I cut out the last mix cuz it wasn't the best, but otherwise came out well. A beautiful Sunday morning spent doing the thing I love the most, this time alongside wonderful live instrumentation by Kevin Spears. Was such a fun, joyful, inspired collaboration 🎶 Had to be there to hear that part, but for those who couldn't be there, I still got the set for ya ;)

This set - Inspired Action - was made in the spirit of Mars' recent movement into its realm of exaltation, in the sign of Capricorn. Mars is our agent of action, and the way I see it, in Capricorn, we can take the right action. We have the energy to do the hard work. To fight the good fight. We are inspired to act. That which inspires me, moves me. Music, for example ;) And poetry...

There was once upon a time,
I didn’t know my reason or rhyme
People would say "oh you are doing just fine"
But that wasn’t the landscape of my inner mind

I needed more, I needed to feel and see
How is it my existence came to be?
And if I am here is there a purpose to me?
Is my life fated? Or is my life free?

I looked all around, desperate to know
I read ancient texts, learned the art of flow
I sought wisdom in trees, the caw of the crow
I cried out for hurt that occurred long ago

First I cried for my own unacknowledged pains
Fear, anger, grief, am I insane?
And then the pain went beyond my own selfish domain
To the wounds of a world living in vain

Somehow through all this, I came to realize
That in order to be here, in order to survive
Whatever the cause of my being alive
Inspiration keeps me seeing with innocent eyes

I noticed there were times when I felt a spark inside
Upon seeing something so creatively divine
Or reveling in the synchronicity of a series of signs
And in the way a small act of kindness could change the course of one’s life

I tended those sparks and followed their lead
I let go of the things that felt wrong for me
I gave up looking for a destination to be
I followed my bliss, trusting this as the key

It’s a conscious effort, yet what else can we do?
But follow those sparks, so bright & so true
Tending the seeds of our heart's inspiration
Trusting this to give will towards taking right action

This more than anything has been my guiding star
When everything else in the world seems dark
I tune into these little sparks near and dear to my heart
May divinely inspired action bless our dance, our art <3

Golden Goggles is a local Denver rising star in the progressive house, tech house music scene.
 
Golden Goggles’ unique talent of smoothly melting melodic progressive house into high energy tech house beats is loved by an ever-growing crowd of electronic music aficionados in the Denver area. Her live sets gather people who love to dance to her groovy deep sexy music vibe. 
 
She loves to bring high energy healing vibes to any space. By day, she is an MD and practices hormone replacement, urgent care, and aesthetics. She owns her own private practice and serves as medical director for several local clinics in the Denver area. She has played live sets at local Denver spots including Bar Standard, DV8, and Beacon. 
 
She grew music roots during childhood when she learned to play the piano, violin, and acoustic electric guitar. She still plays the guitar and often plays her hand pan to meditate and when searching for musical and life inspiration.

Golden Goggles came to her first Coven Collective meeting in March 2023. She has been inspired by the supportive community and nurturing environment of Coven Collective, where members can share experiences, advice, and mentor each other. It is with true camaraderie rather than competition that we all rise.

CC RADIO Episode 010 - Golden Goggles

This is a DJ set I recorded live in one shot at home. It's a good example of what I do now. The set starts at 85 BPM and ramps gradually up to 120 BPM over the course of an hour and includes variety of electronic dance styles. The unifying theme is that they all have some kind of world music flavor. About 1/3rd of the tracks are my original production. I improvise live over the tracks on the Linnstrument and keytar.

Because of the BPM ramp a set like this will fit in best in between a DJ playing Dub or maybe DnB and another DJ playing house or techno, or as a ramp up between a downtempo melllowish set and a more full on set. 

I can also go in the reverse direction, starting at a higher BPM and gradually ramping down ... but it's way more fun to bring the energy up than down ;).

Outersect DJ Set March 2024

This mix is inspired by life’s transitions where each track marks its moment in time as we accept the death and rebirth of one's self and open up space for more of life’s loving moments.

‘Inhalation’ opens up as we soak in the moment we decide to brace our selves for the journey ahead. You’re immediately acquainted with atmospheric support and uplifting trust in the tracks that follow. We then hit our first destination in ‘Vain’ where the darker tones allow us to peak into confrontation followed by heady rhythms that allow us to take a breather and meditate on the process. ‘Slam’ comes in to introduce some grounding baselines as we prepare for the next set of tunes that provide a moment of reflection. The moments that follow, move us through some fun moments in ‘Alula’ and ‘Running’, allowing our curiosity to be rewarded and push us along. Eventually we hit a gem of realization in `Working On Myself` where you get a groovy sense of confidence in the process, only to traverse deeper into another round of heavy hitting bass and breaks. Eventually you come full circle in ‘Waves Of Nothing’ expressing the beauty of the highs and lows of flowing transitions.
