What started as an idea to update mixes turned into an unexpected family collaboration.

Berlin to Lisbon via Cork, Big Town Boy Small City Dreams released in 2018 on Dutch label XXX gets remixed and reimagined for 2024.

Debut record release, K.P. Ring blends a tapestry of lyrics into a hooky club tune with flair.

Cult Producer Bangkok Impact returns to the label and reaches for the Italo stars with a distinctive chugging rendition adding additional vocoder effects along the way

Synthology by UNDRGRND Sounds - House Demo

Remake / cover of San Francisco Hi-NRG synthesiser disco classic ’Menergy’ from 1981 composed by Patrick Cowley with all of the sounds (except drums and vocoder) made by using u-he Repro-1 and Repro-5 plug-ins (https://u-he.com/products/repro/)

I thought it would be fun to try to recreate this track with u-he versions of Sequential Circuits Pro-One and Prophet-5 synthesizers (the originals were used by Patrick Cowley a LOT). I set a rule not to use any external effect plug-ins on the synth parts but only the built-in effects that are included in the Repro-1 and Repro-5, so no external reverbs, delays, choruses, equalizers etc used.

Though I did try to get passably close to the original sounds, it is not 1:1 creation, just a fun remake.

"Journey EP" (Clutching At Straws) draws on the spirit of the dance through Emperors Dance- a timeless two stepper with hooky lead, melancholic pads and rubber bass. The rhythmic drums taper the parts creating an infectious groove of euphoria.
Elusive Disco House producer Bangkok Impact comes back from the ashes with a remix of Drops Of Bitter Sweetness. Worked like a late night Cowleyesque affair. The Finn playfully injects dark room tension and release throughout. 
Funky jazzy groove heavy number Mystery World nods back to the 1980's Disco with hypnotic chords and bass.
