Years have past since the last release of those alternative rockers from Lebkuchen-City. Five years they almost got lost in the well known doom of a daft rock’n’roll band. Growing fame and easy money came with too many drugs and beautiful women, followed by drug problems and less beautiful women, musical and individual differences, lineup changes, a tribute album und finally the buzz faded out. Some have rumoured the band had already taken its last breath, but hey! Surprise, surprise: They are still there. And regardless of the consequences, weight problems and loss of hair they’re still standing on stage, sweating and playing their hearts out, until the devil takes them.

Not the next big thing, no hype, no bullshit, just guitar, bass and drums and rock for sure. We can't do something else, but that's what we can do right.
Call it Indie, Alternative, Retro or Post or New or whatever?
Why should we care as long as the crowd is moving their arses!

It's back! Due to the unanticipated success of this song last year, I decided to revisit it and clean/spice it up. Enjoy.

The song was inspired by those conversations you have with someone who is concerned about you because you look upset or are crying, and are persistent in talking to you about the root; when the reality was you were merely cutting onions. 

Morale of the song, don't scapegoat onions and if you need to talk to someone, do so, because it isn't healthy to keep your troubles in your heads.

After 9 years, I think this is respectably done. It captures the cinematic grand sonic landscape in my head and presents a clear wall of sound.

The song began with creating a strange modulated guitar effect using step filters, from there the main build up was crafted. I had my friend Theo Stone jam with me on day in 2011 and he added in that synth riff you hear at the beginning. What you hear is the original recording of that as I love the tone and have no idea how we achieved it. We ran a piano through a guitar amp and pedal-board and then straight into the auxiliary-in on my computer and that was that.

This has been my most challenging track yet to mix and I think its finally done as I’m happy with the balance. ***Now in 2020, ive finally gotten the mix to a solid spot.
