It's all about the journey and I'm particularly drawn to deep, melodic, driving and bouncy.  If that is interspersed with phat interesting sounds then all the better.

Jez moved from the UK a few years back to live in Sydney and has just become an Australian Citizen. His DJ career has seen him name-checked around the world. He has played in the USA, also Russia, Belgium, Germany, Holland, Indonesia and the UK. He was resident for one of London’s most successful underground clubs, Coalesce during the late 90s and Noughties. Mixmag described Coalesce as the 'Undisputed Kings of the Underground'. Jez has always played 'proper' house music and he likes to make his sets fun-filled and exciting. He plays funky house, old-skool, disco house, pure disco and tribal beats depending where the crowd takes him – house music has been his passion since the dawn of time. He was turned onto dance music by Todd Terry’s beats, Marshall Jefferson’s pianos and Derrick May’s strings, back in the day!

Jez first started DJing in Nottingham’s highly regarded house music scene back in the early 90s. He had gigs at the Koolkat, Venus, Beetroot and the Dance Factory. All of these clubs played truly serious music and the Dance Factory was the establishment where DIY were resident. Jez plays house that is funky, with a disco underbelly. He prefers to play it up-tempo, fast and furiously, rarely dropping the pitch below +2.

Jez lived in London for over ten years before he moved to Sydney, accumulating gigs at the Ministry of Sound, Turnmills, Hanover Grand, Heaven, Club UK and the Chunnel Club. He often jumped on planes to travel as far as America, gigging in Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus and Pittsburgh - Jez headlined a number of these events with other UK DJs. He has ventured to Russia on a number of occasions and most notably played at Maxim’s magazine launch in Moscow as-well as the Ministervo Club (Russian for Ministry) – a very glamorous, ‘invite only’ nightclub…… Since moving to Australia, Jez has been very busy and has played at Mardi Gras, Bar 100, King’s Cross Hotel, Soundbox, Bar Europa, Bank Hotel, The Lock-Up Launch, Rose Hotel, Zanzibar and 100s of private and corporate parties.
