London based migrant Throwing Snow makes tracks to melt into. Following his compelling 2010 debut on Alexander Nut’s Ho_Tep imprint and remixes for the likes of Gold Panda and Glasser he returns to Super with emerging vocal talent Py.

Wallow is at the same time sultry, shadowy and glistening. Throwing Snow displays effortless finesse as Py’s raw, soulful delivery adds emotion. Py is joined by the captivating Russell Morgan on The Shadows I Make, an affecting arrangement built around the pairs’ contrasting vocal styles whilst As The Rain Spits sees Py’s vocal chopped and screwed for a proper drum machine workout.

The release is completed by remixes from Lapalux, PhOtOmachine and Raffertie. Lapalux is in full effect, his beat collage blurring the line between digital precision and analogue warmth. Brixton based PhOtOmachine blends subtle elements of the original into a bumping house version as label head Raffertie brings Py’s vocal to the fore, illuminating her enchanting performance.

In the bustling world of instrumental grime, Mr. Mitch’s ‘Peace Dub’ phenomenon - initially a concept aimed squarely at flipping grime’s ‘war dub’ complex on it’s head - has fast become a reputable sub-genre all of it’s own. With a series of his own peace edits garnering plenty of recognition online over the course of 2014, Mitch has enlisted a trio of new-school producers to assist him in re-contextualising four unconventional classics and with it, christen a new series of peace-themed white label 12”s.

Simply titled PEACE001, Mitch is joined by Gobstopper signees Strict Face and Loom, as well as elusive beat-making trio Silk Road Assassins on the label’s first ever physical record - a body of work that takes instrumental grime even further into unchartered territory. Kicking off with the brooding heartache of Mitch’s fuzzy, emotionally charged re-rub of Dru Hill’s ‘How Deep Is Your Love’, there’s also space for Strict Face to turn an icier, washed-out hand to the peace aesthetic on ‘Alice’ - his beautifully mellow, minimalist rework of Alice Deejay classic ‘Better Off Alone’.

Latest signee Loom opts to take a deconstructionist route through Kate Bush’s ‘Running Up That Hill’ as glitchy melodies, ushered reverb and pitched-up vocal loops meet harsh, industrial sampling in unerringly dystopian collision of ideas, whilst Silk Road Assassins sign off with their take on T-Pain’s ‘Im Sprung’. Trickling, iced-out melodies and pitched-down vocals are laid over dark, menacing bass rumbles in a tribute to the sound that has already earmarked the trio as refreshingly slick sound designers.

Py: "Ross (Throwing Snow) and I have spent the last year writing an album. Its been a big journey! I feel that I have finally found my voice. Picking through the vast amount of sounds and influences that I love and letting go of some of them was tough. But I have found my own combination that works.

I'm excited about next year and people hearing it!

SWV was a cover we started quite early on in the process and its something that sums up the feelings centred around the album.

Early next year I am creating an Art installation funded by the Arts Council, in collaboration with Nathan Prince, Andi Watson and ETC. I wanted to visualise the sound of the human voice and mark the space its projected into. The piece we have made is called 'Colour Choir'. There will be a live performance using my voice, and I am super exited about it!"
