There is a beautiful trapeze artist woman. She is climbing the infinite staircase.

She grips the wood that the ropes grab.

Reflect, dismiss the thoughts and jump into the void.

They pick her up, shake her, make her go round and round, but there is always someone to pick her up.

The beautiful dancer is left alone coming and going, preparing the large number.

Silence becomes a rampage, and she, the queen, flies and flies and flies.

Like someone who returns from a trip, shoots the public a loving smile and 3 kisses.

Another collaboration with @peteswinton. Pete are working on album together where we are reworking/remixing each others tracks.

This piece manipulates an original piece from Pete that he called "Hiss Over Me". I took this track and placed into into an app called Borderlands (which is a wonderful granular synth app - of sorts). I then added some drones using two apps, one called Hillman and one called D1. A couple of Eventide Delay and Reverb effects were added to the mix as well.

Staircase To The Moon

Originally composed for the 2020 edition of the Australasian Computer Music Conference, 'City Circles' is a 28 minute piece that furthers my research on loops as a main musical currency, as well as the exploration of urban sounds and scenery, also present in 2018's "A deafening silence".

A year ago, we recorded our first joint track with Ilaria (https://soundcloud.com/crazycompass/ilaria-boffa-foreign), and then we agreed that we would do another one later in which each of us will read own poem in native language. Una precisa geografia di pioppi bianchi
frassini e aceri circonda quest’area fluviale.
Narrazione di fruscii, conversazioni rumorose.
Traduzioni. Ciò che sentiamo e il linguaggio
udibile implicano indagini
sui modi di ascolto dell’altro.
In dubbio l’affettività, il riverbero degli oggetti
che scontra soggetti oltre noi.
Dentro quei metri cubi di suolo e aria
il suono prende spazio, costruisce e colpisce.

TRANSLATIONS 

A clear geography of silver poplars
ashes and maples surrounds this fluvial area.
A narrative of rustles, chatting loudly.
Translations. What we hear and the language
that makes it audible imply investigations
on others’ listening modes.
We question affectivity, objects’ reverbs
crashing into beings beyond us.
Inside those cubic metres of soil and air
noise spacialises, builds and hits.
It neuroshapes and impacts the plasticity
of things.
We translated our voices into exact
references and wording. Now, hear.
