Caroline Profanter is a composer and performer with a background in electroacoustic and acousmatic music. She combines sounding objects and field recordings with digital and analogue electronics, and explores the grey zones in between. Collaborates frequently with other artists, at the crossroad to installation, film and radio art. Lives and works in Brussels and is part of the artistic team of Q-O2.

radio continental drift is a mobile radio drama project focusing on spoken word, “dramatic field-recordings”, narratives usually produced before/ during/ after skills-training workshops or in the context of long-term collective audio media projects such as the NO-GO-ZONES project and the DURBAN SINGS audio media & oral history project. 

The work of radio continental drift takes place on the intersection of sound art, radio drama, media activism, acoustic education and literacy, oral history, community radio and digital communities. At each point of its journey, a project seeks creative and collective ways to exploit the opportunities of digital media for transmitting a story together with the toolbox and infrastructure of its production – be it locally, in collective media projects, or on-line for a global audience. The resulting compositions, radio dramas, trailers and mixes of radio continental drift invite a listener in to a space where “I can hear myself listening”... an awareness about listening as an imaginative, productive and creative act.

Mark Vernon is a Glasgow based sound artist who works with found tapes and acousmatic presence. His work explores themes of magnetic memory, audio archaeology, voyeurism and nostalgia. 

His solo music projects have been published through labels including Kye, Glistening Examples, Flaming Pines, Misanthropic Agenda, Gagarin, Sonoris, Granny, Psychetropes, Persistence of Sound, Flag Day, Entr’acte, Discrepant, Futura Resistenza, Vice de Forme, Calling Cards and Canti Magnetici. 

He co-runs and curates Glasgow art radio station, Radiophrenia and has produced programmes for stations internationally.
