About Tone Abstract:
Hailing from the Central Valley of California and originally from the East Los Angeles area Tony aka Tone Abstract was exposed to amazing Street Culture. At an early age Tone had a huge interest in Hip Hop and began to participate in Dj’ing , Break Dancing and Graffiti Art. Ultimately Music would become his forte which led him to Practice the Art of Beat Matching , Scratching and many Turntable Tricks making him one of the Best Turntable Technicians that came from the area. By the age of 16, thanks to his already developing Network he was given the opportunity to Perform for several hundred People. In not much more time Tone was exposed to his First Electronic Music Event and he instantly fell in Love with the Music, the Vibe and the amazing People that participated. After years of playing Music for the Masses Tone’s interest was geared towards production, he wanted to make the Music he played. He took a very long break from Performing and has been practicing the art of Music Engineering & Production. He began Producing the sound that inspired him originally. That amazing Bass sound from the State of Florida that has been in his heart and is what flows out naturally, it’s not a regurgitation it’s what he listened to for years and inspired him to get into Music in the first place. Now with Releases on Major Labels both Domestic and Abroad Tone’s geared for growth and the Future is looking bright.

Flex’s old school party rocking lyrics on “Rock On It” are the perfect compliment to Qdup’s G-Funk meets Future Go-Go style beat. “Let’s Go” keeps the party vibe going with a funky, bass heavy hip-hop cut with clever rhymes and an infectious hook that’s sure to get people moving. Greek remixer Basement Freaks slowed down the tempo and turned up the horn-laden funk beats of “Rock On It”. Nynfus Corporation from Budapest, Hungary turn “Let’s Go” into a funky bass driven mid-tempo breaks banger. Texas’ own funky breaks master DJ Love pumps up the tempo on his remix of “Let’s Go” turning it into a head nodding funk workout.

The EP comes DJ friendly and ready to rock with full vocal and instrumental mixes on all of the tracks. As a veteran DJ himself, Qdup knows how to make beats for the dancefloor and this release has them all, from breaks and funk to hip-hop and future go-go, its all here.

This set was created with so much love and appreciation for our beloved siStar Funkbaby. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think about her and grateful for knowing her. I played this set for DJs Giving Back Twitchmas 2022 last month. I intentionally had Funkbaby in my mind the entire time picking out all these songs for this set and imagined her dancing to them. This mix is filled with breakbeat and house love and funk with 2step, 90's UK Oldskool, and Jungle Flava sprinkled throughout. A few of these gems were given to me by Funkbaby and I felt her very close while creating this mix, Funkbaby Forever. ((( ❤️ )))

Rob Silas "DJ Si-Dog" Moved to Orlando from CT in 1993 after college, where he was quickly was introduced to the Florida EDM Rave scene. Rob moved to Florida to find a band as a Drummer by trade, but was quickly consumed into the Orlando EDM club scene and decided to start DJing and producing EDM in 1994. Signed to the Indie Label Phattraxx in 1997, He released tracks under that label until he made his own label DogEatDog Records that specialize in Breakbeat EDM production & event production as well.www.facebook.com/DogEatDogRecords.

Si-Dog Dee-Jayed at Huge parties over the years like Zen 98’, and Usuaya in Gainesville & Jacksonville in the 90’s, along with numerous night clubs around Florida. Simons, Firestone, and The Beacham until 2000 to name a few.. In 2000 a new Hartford CT after-hours club called him to be the head DJ and international talent promoter from 2000 to 2004. Si-Dog had his own radio show webcast Stim-U-Late, (fathered by the Trance Domain) and then starting playing gigs in the Northeast From Philly to New Hampshire.www.facebook.com.SiDogOfficial. Rob got married in 2006 and started a family. Now travels back and forth to Florida 10 times a year.. Recharged in back in the Florida Scene, Si-Dog has been producing tracks again on DEDR, he has many charted tracks on Beatport's Top 100 with include remixes for Deekline (that won a World Wide remix competition), and Si-Dog has also collaborated with Top 10 Producer Agent K, as well as his own monthly tracks on Beatport.

Rob’s other passion is event production, DEDR threw a huge event at Firestone in December 2012 called the Leaders of the True School, Rob Silas was a presenter of the show, who showcased Colombo in is 1st ever Florida appearance from Spain. and is also back throwing parties at WMC which he’s always done in the past. He has partnered up with Glyn Morgan of FSOB and is involved with Dr P Booking, Old Skool Reunion and LOTS 2 to close out 2013. In 2014 DEDR celebrated 15 years with a huge event in South Beach Miami Rooftop pool with the biggest names in the Breaks Industry in the bill AND in attendance!. DEDR will also produce The Reunion 2014 in Orlando, and LOTS-3 in Orlando as well.

Jason Brown is Qdup, and has been making dance floors groove and butts move worldwide for over a decade. Qdup has had a steady string of acclaimed original releases with Washington, DC’s Fort Knox Recordings since 2013. His tunes have consistently made it into top 20 charts in the Glitch Hop, Funk and Breaks Genres on Beatport and Juno Download. From earning a nomination for a Washington Area Music Award for Hop Hop Recording of the year in 2013, to garnering Mixag’s “Breaks tune of the Month in October 2014, to coverage on some of the web’s hottest taste making blogs like Magnetic Mag, Surviving the Golden Age, Life Support Machine, Dance MusicNW and EDM Sauce; Qdup’s projects have consistently been praised by funky dance music aficionados world wide. Qdup has also gained a following dropping his secret weapon DJ tunes to the masses as free downloads.

Qdup broke out as a DJ on North America’s festival scene from 20012-17 including memorable sets at Shambhala Music Festival (BC, Canada), Firefly Fest (DE, USA), Art Outside (TX, USA), Gathering of the Vibes (Ct, USA), BassCoast (Merritt, Canada), Boogaloo (CA, USA) and P.E.X. (MD, USA). Late 2015 to 2016 saw Qdup join forces with longtime collaborator and label mate Steve Raskin of Fort Knox Five in a steady string of gigs performing their unique Four Deck Set. They’ve had a busy schedule with tours up on both coasts of the states, Colorado and Montana & have frequented Canada’s west coast BC and Alberta. Their touring included a festival run with Canadian favorite’s Shambhala (Salmo, Canada) & BassCoast (Merrit, Canada) and adding events like Sonic Bloom (CO), Northern Nights (CA, USA) and Burning Man (NV, USA). 
When not on tour, Qdup has played regularly at DC hot spots like Eighteenth Street Lounge, U-Street Music hall and Tropicalia where he along with Fort Knox Five have held their residency “Sao Funky” for 4 years. Qdup has also made the official promotional mix tapes for The DC Funk Parade 3 years running, further solidifying himself as one of DC’s most sought after party rockers. Since relocated to Los Angeles, Qdup has continued this trend frequently playing at some of LA’s best underground warehouse and festival venues.
