The 14th destination on our journey across the musical galaxy takes us to the planet under the control of Anton Lanski. Hailing from Izhevsk, Russia, Anton is an artist we’ve been huge fans of for many years. An Artist that has featured on our shows and mixes for almost as long as we’ve been doing them. He is truly an artist with a unique sound that has been carved out over many years at the top of the game. His productions are deep, Dubby and atmospheric.   

With such a wealth of musical talent at his fingertips, Anton is  able to showcase is talents across multiple fields. Under his Gespleu alias he has releases slow-mo/chill/house records. He is also part of an electonic-pop/ambient band  called Cetranger.

They simply called it “The Laboratory.” There were no windows — only the hum of life-support systems and aquariums filled with lifeforms that defied classification. On evenings like this, Spacelunch would tune the setup, Cat would yank out unnecessary cables with his tail, and everything would freeze in anticipation of the signal. A deep, steady mix filled the space, seeping into reservoirs, consoles, and whispering sensors. Something flared, something trembled — as if the environment itself was trying to synchronize with the rhythm. Later, a new chapter would appear in the Professor’s log: “Sample 93.”

As we venture into the 19th edition of The Frontier we are excited to welcome an Artist and label owner that we’ve been fans of for a long time - The Belfast-based DJ and founder of Computer Controlled Records - Nez 

Over the past 2 decades, he’s carved out a distinct voice in the underground scene, both as a selector and as a curator, driven by a deep respect for the roots of electronic music and a hunger for its future possibilities. 

Known for intense, tightly crafted sets, Nez brings an uncompromising approach to the dancefloor. His selections speak to years spent digging, listening, and understanding how music moves people physically and emotionally. There's a clarity of intent in his sets: no gimmicks, no trend-chasing, just pure, high-voltage energy built for dark rooms and late hours.

Through Computer Controlled Records, he’s released music from like-minded artists who share a passion for hardware-driven sound and DIY ethos. The label has become a trusted outlet for heads seeking depth and authenticity, reflecting Nez’s commitment to keeping the underground alive and vital.

Outside the booth and studio, Nez remains active in the Belfast scene, supporting local talent, hosting events, and helping build a space where music can thrive on its own terms. Whether he’s playing to a packed club or championing a new artist, the goal stays the same: to serve the music and the people who live for it.

For his Frontier mix Nez has delivered an hour and 40 minutes of his usual full throttle style, heads down, dance-floor orientated pumpers. This is definitely one that will require some dancing shoes.

the recording from Soelas https://soundcloud.com/soelaela final 1.5 hours during our last ADE Transition: in the the intimate setting of Amsterdams finest Borisov were she drifted between rhythm and reflections. Her intimate yet spacious sound traced emotions through deep and evolving textures.

With releases on Scissor and Thread, Kompakt or Dial  Soela moves fluidly between house, dub techno, and experimental electronica. Collaborations with Philipp Priebe, Steve O’Sullivan, and Module One reveal her instinct for connection — sound as dialogue, rhythm as language.

Based in Berlin, born in Russia, she builds bridges between warmth and restraint, memory and momentum. Every track, every set — a quiet conversation that lingers.

 As the year comes to a close and we move deeper into the depths of winter, we are honoured to be able to release this mix from an artist who’s work seems to be the perfect soundtrack for these cold dark stormy days. In at number 20 in the frontier series we welcome the incredibly talented Icelandic producer - Waage.  

 In a scene that can sometimes be saturated in similar sounds, Waage is an artist that has truly carved out his own sound. Always deep and uncompromising , always unique. Waage tracks are easily identifiable but rarely imitated well. 

  For his Frontier mix Waage has presented an hour of almost fully unreleased music. Which is an absolute privilege for us to be able to share. The mix is packed with beautiful sequences and atmospherics , its very Waage, and its very US!  

This will be one to play again and again.

   We want to thank Kristjan for this epic contribution to the series and we cant wait to get our hands on more of his music.

We are blessed to be able release this final frontier mix of 2025, expertly crafted and mixed by the bossman of one of our favourite labels, Dutch based - Stately Records.

From its beginning is 2020, Stately Records have been putting out music that we've not been able to take out of our record bags. Touching on all thing Deep, Dubby and Minimal, with a solid groove. They are known for their high calibre of output. Less is definitely more. The label has featured the music of some of our favourite producers such as Anton Kubrikov, Dubtommy, Nicolas Barnes, Alessandro Crimi, Philipp Preibe and Federsen.

For this Frontier mix Frederik has turned in a 2 hour masterclass in deep sonics.  Floating through the sounds you would expect to hear from the man behind such a classy label. Hes even dropped in some unreleased Stately goodies so keep an ear out for them.

We are excited to release the first Frontier mix of 2026. This mix comes from a DJ we hold in the highest regard.  He is someone who we've been chasing for a mix for a couple of years now and finally the stars have aligned, we were in a position to release it and Andy was in a place to record it. So without further ado we welcome to the series Berlin Based DJ, former Tresor Club Resident and all round nice guy - antec.

For his Frontier mix antec has decided to showcase a lot of music from his native Berlin, leaning into the Basic Channel sound, as well as dropping in tracks from Maurizio, Substance, Vainqueur, Rhythm & Sound. The mix is a perfect blend of old a new, mixed expertly on Vinyl - antec's chosen medium, of which he is the master. 

We are incredibly happy to be able to finally release this after a long time and we hope you enjoy it again and again. And of course thanks to Andy for taking the time to record such a special mix.

For the next episode of The Frontier we welcome Vincent Raude, Who has released music under a variety of alias , but is probably best know for his work as - Upwellings

  In his own word - “Upwellings is a project trying to explore the possibilities of dub in the minimalist techno environment”

Upwellings has been releasing music since around 2008 and has become a true stable of the Dub Techno scene. He is an incredibly consistent artist having carved out a unique deep atmospheric sound, his records never leave our bags. His level of consistency and quality have rewarded him with releases on some of the best Dub Techno labels around, his release on Greyscale - Lark Dub / Fed on Dub is a release that particularly stands out. He has also worked a lot with the spclnch lads and had some beautiful releases.   

For his Frontier mix, Vincent has presented a Hybrid Dj mix, working with Ableton, the mix is comprised of purely his own Upwellings tracks. It’s a near 2 hour journey that mutates and develops perfectly throughout. It really shows the depth of his creativity.   

We are thankful to have been able to work with Vincent and be able to showcase his music.
