Artist: Hidden Sequence [Mosaic / Lempuyang / Alt Dub / Moon Garden / Silent Season]

Our 12th journey takes until into the joint minds of Paul Simmons and Stefano Ugliano (6884) aka… Hidden Sequence. The Duo have been playing and producing together since they met in 2020. Individually they both have their own unique sound and skill sets. Paul, born and raised in London, has been DJ’ing across the world for over two decades while Stefano , is an Italian born self confessed studio dweller and sound sculptor. As is often the case with duos of this nature, what they bring to the table is even greater than the individual parts. Their music has been a breath of fresh air within the Dub Techno community since their arrival on the scene.   

Production wise they have had a string over incredible releases over the last few years with music coming 200 Records, Mosaic, Lempuyang, Alt Dub, Ausblick, Moon Garden and OHM Series. Quite the resume for this relatively new collaboration. Having had some great conversations with the guys, we are extremely excited to hear what they have planned and forthcoming over the next weeks and months.   

For their contribution to the Frontier series they have turned in an incredible hour of music. We float through some beautiful ambient cuts, some bass wobbling, head nodding Dub, Roots & Reggae, and onward into the world for 4/4 dub techno. They really went to town on this mix and we are honoured that they have packed in lots of unreleased material.

Artist: The Open Circle [Greyscale / Crossfade Sounds/ Axaminer / OHM Series / ODrex]

Our 17th Frontier journey comes from Belgian producer Geert Thirry better known as - The Open Circle. We have been big fans of The Open Circle since we discovered his music a few years ago. He is an incredible producer and very versatile artist, who’s music can span from deep ambient soundscapes, to low slung chuggy dub techno all the way up to full dance floor fist pumping Techno. His production is mostly done using a Modular synthesizer and some other hardware. Then Layered textures and evolving rhythms are built to define the signature style with analog warmth and hypnotic depth.  

Geert has been producing music for many years, His first EP was actually released back in 2003 on the UK label ” Lost Language “as a double vinyl. Released under the alias Karada the release was more in the melodic Techno sphere. Since then his style and sound has developed into the deep Dub Techno he is known for today. His productions have been gathering more and more acclaim with his recent release on the legendary Greyscale placing him firmly towards to the top echelons of the Dub Techno world.

Behind the sound is Moon Patrol, the collaborative project of @irina-kotik and @gilleswasserman. As co-founders of the Brooklyn-based platform @itsdelayed, the duo has cultivated a unique voice that weaves through warm electronica, cinematic ambient, and introspective techno. With releases on labels such as Oslated, On Board Music, SoHaSo, and Huinali, their work is defined by emotional resonance, subtle tension, and the art of restraint.

Moon Patrol moves through sound with sensitivity and intention—shaped by shifting moods, flowing frequencies, and the quiet connection between two artists in deep dialogue. Their set invites you into a space where time slows down and feeling takes the lead.

Let yourself be carried by the textures, the silences, and the subtle turns. This is a journey best experienced with open ears and an open mind. Settle in, and let the music take you where it will.

We are pleased to introduce the new Deep Breakfast mix curated by Hame. Based in Amsterdam, Hame is a talented producer, DJ, and founder of the record label and event concept @pintai. His musical work explores the intersection of energy and emotion, carefully crafting moments of unity on the dance floor. This mix showcases Hame’s unique talent for blending vibrant energy with heartfelt expression, making it a truly compelling addition to your listening experience. He approaches this set much like movie soundtrack, crafting a narrative with different chapters that, while distinct, come together seamlessly to create a captivating and immersive journey.

"The set ends with a track I made, built around words by Teig Sadhana about the vulnerability of men. It’s a subject that comes up often in my work as an applied psychologist, especially in conversations with boys and young men. Some carry unspoken thoughts - like feeling content with the idea of becoming a stay-at-home dad, or not pursuing traditional career ambitions. Sometimes about smaller subjects, like asking for help. Many describe pressure from society, or a lack of support from peers, when it comes to embracing less conventional paths.

I believe there’s a lot to gain, as a society, if men feel freer to speak about these thoughts. If being loved and respected is tied in the mind to career success, self-reliance and emotional toughness, it becomes difficult to let go of that framework. Historically, this mindset has been rewarded with status and security - but that doesn’t mean it’s something healthy for everyone to continue striving for.

We’re often comfortable talking about ambition, strength, and problem-solving - traits we’ve learned to view as charismatic or positive. But many of us were never taught how to speak openly about things that might be seen as weak or uncertain.

And yet, isn’t it one of the braver things - to show vulnerability in the face of discomfort or fear? Toughness can serve many purposes, but I think a more open and compassionate attitude among men toward vulnerability can help us become less protective of what’s been built in the world and in our minds, creating more space for everyone in society."
