Hit The Ground Running

Modular Patch 5 (Bermuda.Tune.LP-1.WaspVCF.Clouds.Mikro)

This is a fairly simple track, came about after I was screwing around with the 0-coast and my HEK. Then I threw in a messy and noisey MS-20 bass sound, put some pad on top, and voila.

Rainsheets

Another cozy, calming track. It's pretty simple, started with a recorded track on the MPC1000 that is played to the 0-Coast. That then goes through Clouds with a bit of pitch mod. Buffer is set low.

I recorded that and the RS-101 live, then put some fx on the 101. Recorded in the DX7, the MicroPiano, and then finally the MS-20 mini.

Sunrise Over Brook

Another cozy track, decided to turn it into a little lo-fi hip hop track. Messed around with a home-brew DX7 epiano patch, threw it through some fuzz and bit reduction as well as some vinyl/lo-fizer type things. Then I made a quick beat using CR-78 samples, put that through some heavy compression and bit reduction. And finally beefed it up with some pads from the K4 and a bass from MS-20 Mini. Oh yeah, and the weird blippy bloops come from the 0-coast being ran through Clouds.

Cabin In Forest

A not so great test of 4-tracking some house grooves. Damn fostex barely works anyways, this took 30 minutes of carefully balancing cords to get to work.

Oh, I added a bit of low and high end compensation EQ in REAPER just to make sure that the bits I wanted heard came through a bit clearer. The high-end gets absolutely stripped away on the Fostex sometimes.

Low-frequency audio peaks from MPC-1000 channel trigger the TRIG input on Clouds, creating interesting pitch-shifts in time to the music. Just an experiment, I'll probably do this over when the Fostex stops misbehaving

Taped Crunch

Just finished my DIY build of the MTM Turing Machine Mk2, decided to put it through its paces running with the Bermuda osc and the Make Noise 0-coast. Gate pulses the trigger input of contour, with the CV going through a quantizer then into the 0-coast 1v/oct and the Bermuda. Clock input comes from the LP-1. Mutable Instruments Clouds is set at 100% wet with no pitch modification.
