Among the trees of a fabled wood, there dwells a feathered creature
Born of ash and flame infinite energy his defining feature
Perched high among the trees
Doing whatsoever he should please

From high above he sees mortal passersby 
For them he hasn't a care or the time
Yet for a most worthy cause he will fly
Swoop below to offer his allegiance
For a cause sufficiently romantic or grievous 

In this realm of the lofty he is not alone	
There is another for which this land is called home

Deep within this dark and somber forest there lives a deathless lord
 A king of goblins, he rules over a grotesque horde
 He covers the land with the shadow of his power 
 He lusts for life and seeks it to devour
 There is one most precious to this ancient fiend

 In his grip he holds this un-betrothed queen
 A princess imprisoned in his palace of glass
 One who's beauty is unsurpassed
 For her the world outside is out of grasp

 Yet across the earth and beyond the seas
 There is a man whose hunger only she can please
 For him it matters not how long his journey lasts
 He forges on without rest
That her love he might acquire
 Driven by his Heart of Fire

Coroana, transparentă, diamant rece şi tare
Cum toamna trece, vraja lui apare

Părul, gri, ca nori de rău augur în depărtare 
Nici un supus nu mai oferă apărare

Ochii, albaştri, ca cerul gol deasupra
Epoca aceasta singura iubire a sa

Roba, de argint, împodobită cu ţurţuri, sclipitoare 
Diafană capa curgând cu vântul ce poartă creştinare

Domnia, sceptru de gheaţă în mână tinând
La voia sa fulgii cad pe pământ.
Din înalt dezlănțuind puterea în rafale cristaline
Cad pe pământ plânsele sale lacrime

Cele de fericire şi cele de durere 
Cristalizate în aer rece ploua ele

Privind în jos peste împărăţia sa 
Domeniul său e definit cu gheaţa

Zăpada, neculoare, aşa de pură şi curată 
Şi încă ştie timpul său va trebui să treacă

Natura efemeră îi e urgie
Acesta îi e blestemul de împărăţie

Dar deşi domeniul se va topi 
Tronul său vesnic rămâne a fi.

We once danced
Over burning coals
Pleasure filled souls
Time was filled with holes
Space undefined
In our hearts
And out of our minds
I can feel it slipping away
But the memories never fade
They haunt me
They linger on
Now on this pendulum
Swinging
From joy to despair
Past to present
I look in the mirror

Cracking the shards fall
They descend to the floor

Terrigenous: born of the dirt

one stands alone
exposed 
one brisk breeze and all will be lost
left to wither
to fall
one for all 
a final sacrifice
death for life
genesis of a multitude incalculable
now to fall

find their place and begin to die
to be consumed
 by the earth
buried alive
 in the dirt
they pass away
 to give new life

Terrigenous - SinTaMental  &  Tolubai

First of all, I want to thank the wonderful SinTaMental (https://soundcloud.com/sintamental), who kindly  recorded the words 23 October 2015 (and made some corrections on the way).

Basic recording (bassguitar and sampler) was done somewhere in 2004, overdubs (guitar, synthesizer)were done 20 October 2015. Words were written on 30 July 2015.

The sun was hot  blazing in a blue autumn sky
We strolled the green hills and fields 
Without a care in the world
Like we did in younger days that were full of promise
Days that never seemed to end
We caught the colours of the falling leaves

Under shadows of trees
The river was so cool and inviting
its water clear and full of strength

I think you'll agree that she did a wonderful job! For words she chose a poem by Russian poetess Anna Akhmatova, again an excellent choice!

How the night came (@howthenightcame) came up with the idea of making an album on Roman mythology (Ovid's great book Metamorphoses) and invited other artists to participate in the project. 
The results are very nice I think: 21 tracks based on his favourite stories, while collaborating with lovely artists like Hypoid (@hypoidsound, www.youtube.com/channel/UCc_iQ5JFusPt9EIwKIZ5rew) and Daniel Diaz (dedeland.com, @daniel-diaz) amongst others.

“Ovid stares at The Black Sea (Niobes return)” was the track I was asked to collaborate on. The story is about a woman who turns to stone: (en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Niobe)
