Another track I made for moving image. This was for an animation based on the Greek myth of Theseus & the Minotaur. I wanted to try and capture that intense symphonic sound of Vangelis, the drama and the action.

First of all, I want to thank the wonderful SinTaMental (https://soundcloud.com/sintamental), who kindly  recorded the words 23 October 2015 (and made some corrections on the way).

Basic recording (bassguitar and sampler) was done somewhere in 2004, overdubs (guitar, synthesizer)were done 20 October 2015. Words were written on 30 July 2015.

Berlin-school with influences from the masters of this genre and specificaly from the 70s ! 
I used a moog minimoog model D (vintage, 70s version) for the lead melody. Some prophet 5 for the space effects. Also many other synths I can't remember! Enjoy and leave some comments!

I've been admiring Jonathan's work, collaborations and musical comments for quite a while now. Sometimes it seems as if certain pieces of music can only begin to exist fully after he listened to (and commented on) them. So I've been mulling over possible sketches that I could offer for collaboration, and was very thrilled when he accepted (despite great time constraints) to collaborate on the first one I sent. I think we were off to a good start - "sooner" than I thought.

GOLDEN MONTAGE

"...And the island of Atlantis which was greater than Africa and Asia, in one day and one night was overwhelmed beneath the sea in consequence of extraordinary earthquake and inundation and suddenly disappeared, becoming sea, not indeed navigable, but full of gulfs and eddies." 

The fictional accounts of Atlantis extend back to the age of the Greek philosopher Plato. His story sees his ancient city of Athens repel attacks by Atlantean invaders who, subsequently, are disfavored by their deities and submerged into the sea.

This track was designed to simulate a general undersea environment for a homebrew tabletop RPG.

Insatiable Void - Mantidianos (Feat Humanfobia)

How the night came (@howthenightcame) came up with the idea of making an album on Roman mythology (Ovid's great book Metamorphoses) and invited other artists to participate in the project. 
The results are very nice I think: 21 tracks based on his favourite stories, while collaborating with lovely artists like Hypoid (@hypoidsound, www.youtube.com/channel/UCc_iQ5JFusPt9EIwKIZ5rew) and Daniel Diaz (dedeland.com, @daniel-diaz) amongst others.

“Ovid stares at The Black Sea (Niobes return)” was the track I was asked to collaborate on. The story is about a woman who turns to stone: (en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Niobe)
