MELu is the raw sound of two Aussie-Finn-Sámi brothers, Lewi Hirvelä and Phil Hirvelä, joined by longtime friends Nicholas Johnson and Dianne Rodriguez, making noise that cuts through. Blending atmospheric tension with groove-driven rhythms, MELu crafts a collision of sonic textures, equal parts industrial, soul, and trip-hop.

Their sound echoes the likes of Massive Attack, Nine Inch Nails, Deftones, and The Roots, with a nod to Jamiroquai, Skunkhour, and ‘90s alt-funk layers.

Born from Nordic roots and raised under the southern sun, MELu is Brisbane’s answer to beautiful noise, moody, rhythmic, and unapologetically real.

Throughout all my mixes I have tried to maintain clean versions that are family friendly.  However I do apologise that on rare occassion profane vernacular may present itself briefly. 
All recordings, where possible, are set at the highest bit rate (320 kbps) to ensure best quality sound.  Most songs are detached from their standard radio version's and are remixed by award winning remix labels and Dj's.
