Dreadsquad - Poland's staple Reggae Dancehall export


The Dreadsquad project has put Poland on the map for creating dancefloor friendly riddim and bassline madness. From the Superfly Studio in Lodz comes tune after tune combining Jamaican sounds of of Reggae, Dub, Dancehall, Ska and Rocksteady with the modern sounds of Breakbeat, Jungle, Dubstep and Garage.


Dreadsquad was launched during 2001 and what followed was a flurry of mashups, remixes and Polish Sound Clash victories which gave confidence to turn a passion into a way of life for the man at the controls, Marek Bogdanski. Hundreds of gigs in Poland turned into European tours and now Dreadsquad has toured as far as the USA, Canada, Brazil & India.


Always in demand, Dreadsquad has worked with plenty of top Jamaican and European artists including Ward 21, Tenor Fly, Top Cat, General Levy, U Brown, Milion Stylez, Lady Chann, Tipa Irie, Jah Mason, Perfect Giddimani, Dr Ring Ding…the list goes on.


So far Dreadsquad has released 4 mixtapes, 4 full-length producer albums and a host of vinyl and digital singles which made it into the top of the best DJ shops in Europe and into the playlists of the premier DJs of the world.

The Dreadsquad sound is a worldwide sound taking influence and inspiration from all walks of life. It is glued together by Jamaican Soundsystem culture and modern Bass music culture and is a force to be reckoned with.

Descended from a family of musicians, ManuDigital has begun bass at thirteen years old, backed by his two guitarist brothers.
He plays in his first reggae band in 1994 were he discovers the stage and the public. Joining others groups later on he does his first steps on the Yvelines's stages.
Since ever fancying the Jamaican culture and the amount of styles and forms, ManuDigital decides to build up, with few close friends, his own Sound System. As a selector, he prooves his abilities during more than four years in a weekly radio show dedicated to reggae.
At nineteen, his passion and desire to professionalise himself make him integrate a famous jazz school to improve his way to play. He leaves it up four years later enriched by theories and technics from every music styles. On the side of his cursus, ManuDigital backs in live, with his turnatables or instrument, any of the most famous french reggae names and sets himself up as profesional bassman. Also composer, he takes part in many albums recordings, singles, international and french 12inchs.
Music lover and changeable, evolving during his meetings with different music styles permiting him to rich the biggest french stages.
In 2010, he forms part of a higly renowned band as incumbent bassman, with who he still perfoms actually.

Brendan McCormack, a.k.a. DJ Rumor, utilizes his vast music knowledge & creativity to produce an eclectic soundtrack for New York Knicks & Rangers games at Madison Square Garden. As a Music Coordinator, he collaborates with his colleagues to curate the energy & mix songs live. He’s also worked The NYC Marathon, NBA All-Star Weekend, US Open Tennis & MSG Boxing.

Brendan spins nightclubs and events for fashion brands, media outlets & private functions. His clients include NBC, ESPN, Glamour & other companies in New York City, The Hamptons, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Chicago, San Francisco & New Orleans. He creates a unique atmosphere by blending various genres: Funk, Disco, Hip Hop, House, Rock, R&B, Soul & more from all decades are in his repertoire.

A native New Yorker, Brendan is the youngest of five children. His family greatly influenced his diverse music taste & passion for the arts. In 1998, he bought turntables & compiled an impressive vinyl collection by digging for records everywhere. Being self-taught, Brendan spent countless hours perfecting his craft & developing a unique style. After years of hard work & graduating Hunter College, he established himself as one of New York's most talented DJ's. The future looks bright for this dedicated music enthusiast.
