We are sharing today a new other people mix by journalist, community organizer and musician Spirodon from Free City Radio in Montreal. 

His words on the mix: This is a mix of local artists living and working in Tiohtià:ke / Montréal. It highlights artists that I have gotten the chance to work with directly around the intersections of art and social activism on a variety of fronts. All these artists have contributed in various ways to efforts to sustain and build a healthy, inclusive and transformative network for the arts in the city, while also working to explore the ways that artists can directly contribute to concrete struggles for change. Particularly I got the chance to work with these artists around the building of the Artists Against Apartheid concert series in solidarity with the BDS Movement to support Palestinian freedom. Others within this mix I have worked on artistic initiatives to support struggles for migrant justice and for the rights of undocumented people locally, particularly around the Immigrant Workers Centre. Also I selected artists who have been vocal against systemic racism and police killings for years, linked to community work over generations to build community power. Finally, I just want to say that all of these tracks are beautiful! Thanks for listening. I guess deeply rooted this mix was inspired by my father's taste in music back when I was still in the crib. i remember hearing spacey and loungy jazz tunes right from the getgo. those kind of sounds will stay with me for ever and constantly close circles of some sort."
