Some more Mexican music on Quintessentials! This time from long time buddy 4004, another driving force in Mexico and already an established producer with releases on labels like Freerange, Faces, Vicario Ltd or Quintessentials. Mostly doing stuff on his own, Quintessentials 56 features a great collab track with Stuttgart’s Stylus Heat (currently working as Blunted Monks on Philpot). I’m not sure if we find 4004 reasons to like you Gerardo, but there are definitely two: you’re a cool fella and we love your music - simple as that!

Hey Music Lovers! Headstash Music is curated by a fiendish music researcher and obsessed archivist, with a strong bias towards new forms of music, hybrid sounds and obscure rarities. I estimate I've categorized close to 20,000 tracks so far, spread over a couple dozen playlists. Unless you listen to a lot of modern music, some of the more traditional sounding playlists like Jazz, Latin, Middle Eastern and Classical might not be what you expect. The main elements that set it apart would be the emergence of electronica, and the fearless cross-pollination of genres that todays artists are breaking ground with. Other playlists include Ambient, Beats, Disco/Funk, Downtempo, Electronica, Folk, Global Bass, Hip Hop, House, Soul/R&B, Rock, Pop, Techno and more. Federico Restrepo, also known as Fede Restrepo, is a DJ and Electronic Music producer from the city of Manizales, Colombia. He is 21 years old and currently resides in the city of Bogota.
His passion for electronic music began approximately 7 years ago. Since then, Federico has been in constant evolution, it has been an exciting journey full of discovery and experimentation.

Thanks to his curiosity to discover new sounds, he has managed to join distant points between genres of the widest spectrum, without limiting himself to a specific one.
His sessions range from meditative to danceable, enveloping the listener in an intimate journey. He moves between contemplative genres such as Ambient and Downtempo, to more dynamic and dancefloor oriented genres such as Break, House and Techno.

Federico's musical selection revolves around synthesis, experimental and somewhat raw sounds, but always melodic and atmospheric. The result; captivate the audience in a deep journey.

Throughout his career, he has had the opportunity to play in renowned venues of the national scene, such as Octava Club (Bog), Mad Radio (Bog), Ronin Club (Bog) and Area 54 (Pei).
Currently, he works as an independent DJ. His greatest desire is to take his music to many more spaces, for that he is working hard on his first release as a producer, which he hopes to see the light in 2024.

Federico expresses through sound what he carries inside himself, a mixture of experiences and emotions, managing to connect with people who share similar realities.

quintessentials stands for essential deep and raw house music. quintessentials tracks are raw, but they have soul. it’s what we all loved about those old house records: raw yet soulful music. quintessentials will help to keep underground house music on the map.
