Beloved inductee Stellar Dendrites returns to Unbeyond Anthologies with a truly incredible double single, “nonphysical / outnumber”.

Markedly more somber and downtempo than past outings from the artist, this new A/B still features the hallmarks of Stellar Dendrites’ instantly memorable sound. Swaths of nostalgic synthwork, soothing atmospheres, and tightly polished, ethereal production are abound in this release. “nonphysical” is a 4-on-the-floor cut with understated yet tense songwriting and truly idiosyncratic synths, while “outnumber” is a sparse downtempo masterstroke through and through.

“These are a couple of tracks I made last fall. I was very scared and lonely when I made them, and that reflected in the composition compared to my other work. My worldview and state of mind have changed in ways that I never could have expected back then, but I still felt it right to share this music from that time. Now, as I work towards becoming the person that could have helped my past selves, the tracks have taken on an entirely new meaning.” said Stellar Dendrites.

“The world is still a terrifying place, and will remain so. Genocides and atrocities rage on, and the most cruel people only grow more proud of their foul nature. The calls for violence towards our world's most vulnerable can be deafening, but in no place are they the only sounds that can be heard. There is love buried in even the most bleak places, and we must look for it no matter how small or abstract.”

Munich-based duo @RhodeandBrown aka Friedrich Trede & Stephan Michael Braun are back on fellow German label @ToyTonics for another EP. "B tru 2 u" marks the producers' fifth release over the past four years for the ever-popular imprint. It is testament to the label's belief in their artists that they can have consistent releases from a regular roster of producers who call the label home, such as Coeo, Black Loops, and of course Rhode & Brown. Just as the imprint's sound has evolved over the years, so has that of the pair of producers, who began their journey with Toy Tonics on release number 008 and are continuing it today, sixty three releases later with number 071. From more jackin', upbeat tracks to moodier, deep cuts to balearic sounds, the duo continue to develop their sound and put out music that they are feeling in the moment.

For this particular EP, Friedrich and Stephan got the raw ideas for it down while vacationing on the island of Zanzibar. On our premiere and the B2 on the record 'Iruzu Jam', the island vibes are readily apparent. From the conga and exotic percussion instrument rhythms to the bright strings and vibraphone loop, a sunny atmosphere is definitely being evoked. A simple, low, rumbling bass really solidifies the tune and makes it perfect for a beach-side set. Perhaps, if just for a few moments, this song can help us forget about the upcoming dreary weather and bring with it some of those warm summer feelings that already seem so far away.

We're back again with our buddies @toytonics and next up on the roster is Frenchman @mangabey-1 with his wobbly synth funk track 'Purple Gutter'. As you'd expect with a TT release the beats are tight, deep and full to the brim with groove. The synths are rich, funky & have just the right amount of modulation. File this baby in the ever growing folder of set staples from the unstoppable German label.

Sweet Fruity Brunch goes solo for Shelby Le Hibou (Shelby the Owl) and provides more disco-led deep house with vintage keys, wah guitars and vocal edits intricately coming together for another dancefloor ready number.

Up and coming Mexican producer Selva makes his solo label debut with Mezcal to finish off the EP. Jazz loops meet hip-hop vocal edits and skippy percussion for a deeper, groove-heavy & unique finish to the EP.

The name Hugo Mari might not ring a bell just yet, but we’ve got a feeling this is about to change real soon.
