Kicking off the first release on 2022 are label heads ‘The Journey’ where they have teamed up with Rachel May. Our favourite couple of the underground is coming with their second 2 tracker on JEUDI. Two stunning pieces accompanied by an uber remix of the sought after duo Innellea. Great excitement in the JEUDI house to finally present these much demanded and already well supported works. 

“Hypnos” is a laid back multi facetted deep groover with all the coolness and experience of Danito & Athina’s production skills. Always evolving, great story telling and cocooning the crowd in melodic deep vibes leaving only happy faces. 

Innelleas reinterpretation of “Hypnos” is adding the flavour of the wild west including some decent cowbell action and a nonchalant compelling guitar work. Reminding of Neil Young’s work forJim Jarmusch’s movie “Dead Man” combined with tripping voodoo synth spheres.

“My Body” is featuring Athina’s voice with an undeniable seductiveness. This seething almost mystical tune builds a very own deep and profound atmosphere.

Marcus Meinhardt’s track “Hibiskuss” brings pulsating and warm tropical layers together, seducing its listener into total indulgence. The tribal percussions set the tone, shaking and grooving throughout the track and thus providing a framework for the beautiful melody. Having a light melancholic touch to it, which is underlined by the vocal elements, there is still a positive vibe radiating off the track. Through the build up it feels like you are taken on a journey following new, enchanting soundscapes, culminating in a twirl of bliss in the break. Don’t sit around and wait, have a cup of Dr. Meinhardt’s highly recommended “Hibiskuss” tea.

Last November when hot sweaty clubs were a thing, I played along side @BookaShade at London's E1. Their album Movements, released on Get Physical back in 2006 was/still is genius and something I return to regularly for inspiration, so to share a night with them was special.

We had an amusing pre gig dinner - It was great to have a moment to actually sit down, talk and get to know the guys a little. A few weeks later Arno kindly asked if I’d be interested in remixing ‘Polar Lights’ from their new album. I’ve discussed my approach to remixing before, one of the main points being I don’t jump on them lightly however, their track was ripe for reworking - first off it wasn’t already a dance track with a 4/4 groove - it was more of a down tempo vibe and most important, due to the great performance of @joplynberlin I could hear the vocal working a treat.

2019 was winding down and we were approaching our first Christmas with Huxley so decided to wait till the new year to start work on the mix so i could give it my full attention, so ended up starting in early February after arriving in Ibiza… then old Covid-19 decided to rocked up! What then unfolded was a month tucked up away at the top of the valley, diving in and out of the project, experimenting with the original parts of the song i'd been given, searching for the little moments that would then become the final piece. There were a couple times when I needed a proper environment to get to grips with the sonics of the mix. This meant a few covert missions to a studio near by - if caught by the Ibizan police it wouldn’t have gone down well... anyhow… we got there in the end and really happy that its out now in the ether.
