This painting depicts the Yoshiwara district, a licensed red-light district in the Edo period of Japan. It's a unique cultural aspect of Japan, and explaining it fully here is challenging. Interestingly, some men genuinely proposed marriage to courtesans. To some, the courtesans working here might have seemed like starlight in the night sky.

Within this maze of hidden passages, each corridor leads to a different world, a reflection of the deepest desires and fears of those who enter. And still, some are drawn into a surreal dreamscape, where reality blurs into the fantastical.

As residents continue to explore the ever-expanding labyrinth, tensions rise. Friendships are tested, alliances are formed, and rivalries emerge as they search for an exit, a way back to the world they once knew. But the labyrinth is unforgiving, constantly shifting and changing, leaving them lost in a maze of their own making.
