Q. How would you describe yourself?
A. Passionate & particular about the things I am allowed to control & def a porcupine. 

Q. How long have you been a part of the NYC music scene?
A. 2010 is when I met my idols (Venus X, Shannon Funchess, and Lauren Flax) and DJ'd at Home Sweet Home.

Q. Tell us a little bit about this mix.
A. My love for 90s techno records feels inescapable and ever expanding. I got a number of new records over the last year from a 90s collection sold at Brooklyn Record Exchange so this has some of those and some that have been in my collection for many years. I initially got in to these loopy fast techno records because they were so unpopular and cheap and it has been interesting to see them become so popular again and a rise of people caring about the history and who made them. I'm sure many of the artists think it's silly that I have attached myself to their pasts. Shout out to Tracy and Ren who are maybe the only two people that get me in this regard. Shout out to Akilah Bryant who made very few but such incredible techno records, one of which is in here. "This mix illustrates alien abduction as a metaphor for the transgender experience. It's about being abducted by aliens and being stuck in transit going someplace far away, similar to the feeling of being trapped in the wrong body and unsure of the destination.

Born into a matriarchy of two immigrant grandmothers, the 'alien' abduction with an uncertain fate reaches to my machinations of the position my elders were put in as children too. My grandmothers' parents were sold the American Dream, but at what cost? The USA doesn't give a flying fuck about immigrants or about trans people... Will an alien just come carry me away already?

Harsh textures and ethereal sounds of yearning characterize this techno mix. Of course sprinkled with moments of laughter and terror, because when we can't cry anymore, we must laugh. Please enjoy this journey into the unknown, and thanks for tuning in <3"
