Top notch production as usual, an incredible knack for finetuning and an eagle’s eye for detail. Unmistakably Basstripper! “Back To Normal’ is one of the those tunes that proves you really don’t need anything but a bassline to run things, and once, someday, when we get back to normal, it’ll be great to hear this one out in the dance. “Lightspeed”, then, proves how much this man is a master at creating melodies with random sounds, just piecing bits together till everything falls into place. As one of those producers your favorite dj always keeps an eye out for, Basstripper proves, once again, why he’s ahead of the pack.

Drum & Bass is currently stacked with a string of new-gen names who are all staking their claim to become one of the next household names in the upper echelon of the D&B hierarchy. One of those leading the way is Cardiff-based producer Bennie, who now lands on Elevate Records for the first time with the sounds of 'Tell Em Boy'. 

Bennie first went viral in 2021 when his bootleg of Cocoa Tea's 'The Going Is Rough' amassed millions of streams online. Since then, he's sold out headline shows, released across a string of labels, and has written music with the likes of Sigma, Bladerunner, and goddard. 

Aggy throughout with crunching drums and weighty basslines carrying the track from start to finish, Bennie's debut on Elevate Records encapsulates the massive potential that he holds.

We all know what the first two familiar faces are capable of, but it’s a fresh debut on Born On Road for Waeys (which we couldn’t be more gassed for!) An artist with a reputation for creating intricate productions with whopping basslines – like his epic “Stopping Turning” track – he’s right at home alongside Kelvin 373 and Selecta J-Man. Three artists, one mammoth production. “Bad Boy Horns” is the name, and shutting down sound systems is this single’s aim. We have a feeling this one’s going to cause some damage this year. This track is massive. Massive piano and strings, massive detuned rave signals, a massive breakbeat, actually the same loop that Adam F used in Circles, sampled from Kurtis Blow’s Do the Do but at 160bpm, and a massive bass, or two if you will.

‘Breaking’ is not shy from being rough around the edges, with a distorted vocal at its center, traversing the track on delay. Only when you think you’ve heard it all the second drop sets in, putting forward a reece bass, getting the energy level up .
