Solid Steel (25th July) We start this week with Leeds based producer Bambooman who has his EP 'Dulcet' out on Sonic Router. He has also released on Brownswood and Project Mooncircle, and this is what he said about his mix:
"I tried to make the mix as summery as possible to go with the great weather we've been having; so here's hoping it gives of that vibe! I included a few old favourites - tracks that inspired me to make music in the first place from people like Edan, Moondog and Storms and Stress - alongside some new stuff I found that I've really been feeling from Lonnie Holley, Mo Kolours and Connan Mockasin before tying it off with 'Like A Hawk'; a track by my good friend's band, Golden Teacher. The rest of the mix is all my own material: Bambooman tracks (some released, some not) alongside tracks I've produced for London based soul singer, Segilola and bits from my side project Grouphums and 'Ferric' from my Rhodo Dendron collaboration alongside producer Venuq.
Best served with sunshine and an ice cold juice..."

What do KINK, Juju & Jordash and Toby Tobias have in common? Apart from being awesome electronic musicians and performers, they have all released on Croatias outstanding techno and house label Burek. And behind this exciting and ever consistent Label stands Pytzek and his partner Mislav.

He's a producer himself, and an exceptionally busy DJ in Croatias scene, being based in Zagreb and playing the legendary Garden Festival for years (also the final one this summer!)

Given his busy schedule, we're very happy to have been offered a mix by Pytzek to add to our luvcast series - great tunes to get us all pumped for spring!

Ink Project is Brighton-based producer Jez Lloyd’s collaborative project with vocalists Coreysan, FiFi Rong, Yazmyn Hendrix and Melanie Dymond - experimenting with various styles from song-based electronic/soul, future dub, broken beat, leftfield pop, house/techno, down-tempo and world music.

I wanted to play some music from around the world that has been inspiring me a lot recently during lockdown. Electronic african and dub, New Zealand electronic soul, London broken beat, various world music flavours, jazzy, jackin’, trippy US deep and tech house plus new music from Ink Project and Coreysan on the Blind Colour label including some interesting Michael Jackson, Fela Kuti and Nina Simone remixes thrown in for good measure.
