Children’s Health Queensland is a specialist statewide hospital and health service committed to ensuring the best possible health for every child and young person, in every family, in every community in Queensland.

Founded in 1983, Camp Oochigeas (Ooch) has been providing magical camp experiences for children with and affected by childhood cancer. Camp Ooch is much more than a summer camp. Camp Ooch also offers year-round programs for children with and affected by childhood cancer in Muskoka, at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), various other cancer centres across Ontario, and Ooch Downtown in the heart of Toronto. Ooch is the only residential camp in Canada to offer onsite chemotherapy IV treatment and blood transfusions. Through these programs, Camp Oochigeas provides fun and meaningful experiences to approximately 1000 children affected by cancer each year, at no cost to their families. This is all made possible by the generous support of donors and volunteers. 

At Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, all we do is care for kids. We provide the safest, best care for infants, children and teens, no matter how simple or complex the illness or injury. We are the region’s only independent health care system dedicated solely to the health and well-being of children. The hospital, with locations in Milwaukee and Neenah, Wis., is recognized as one of the leading pediatric health care centers in the United States.


Radio-Dodo est une organisation canadienne à but non lucratif qui vient en aide aux enfants victimes des guerres et toutes autres formes de violence ou de préjudice en produisant une émission qui leur est destinée. En ondes tous les dimanches soir à 19h, elle offre à ces enfants un moment de trêve pour danser, chanter, sourire puis les disposer à faire de beaux rêves.
Radio-Dodo est offerte en français, anglais et en arabe. Ainsi, chacun peut choisir d'écouter son émission dans la langue qu'il le souhaite. Dans ce sens, nous sommes certains d'atteindre le plus grand nombre d'enfants et ce, peu importe le pays et la langue.

L'initiative est neutre et est patronnée par la Commission Canadienne pour l'UNESCO

DESCRIPTION

La RADIO-DODO est destinée aux enfants de 3 ans à 7 ans et présentée à chaque dimanche de 19H à 20H. La première émission de la RADIO-DODO est entrée en ondes le 1er janvier 2017 et elle vise à rejoindre les enfants et les réfugiés syriens. La RADIO-DODO est neutre et la RADIO-DODO Syrie est bilingue (Français-Arabe).

Pour permettre aux enfants dans le besoin de pleinement profiter de la RADIO-DODO, des petites radios et des couvertures seront distribuées aux enfants réfugiés en 2017.

Partenaire radio-diffusion : Radio Rozana http://rozana.fm/en Basée à Paris, la Radio Rozana est neutre et s’adresse principalement aux réfugiés syriens en discutant des enjeux qui les préoccupent. Radio Rozana va diffuser la RADIO-DODO dans des camps de réfugiés en Turquie et est accessible par les ondes radios dans quelques villages en Syrie et via internet au Canada.

A not-for-profit organization based in Cape Town, South Africa, the Children’s Radio Foundation (CRF) gives young people the skills and tools to make their voices heard and to engage in dialogue about important community issues. Working in six African countries, CRF partners with local radio stations and community organizations to train youth as radio reporters and broadcasters. 

We see radio as a tool for talk—as a means of facilitating conversations outside of everyday interactions and providing a sounding board for local concerns and realities. Our radio training workshops set the stage for young people to share their experiences, to interview their peers and community members, and through regular radio broadcasts, to reach out to their community. CRF has over 1700 trained youth radio reporters in operation in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Liberia, Ivory Coast, South Africa, Tanzania, and Zambia, working in schools, community centers, hospitals, and radio stations.

Alder Hey Children's Hospital is building something amazing – a brand new Alder Hey in the Park, with a design inspired by children. A hospital built entirely in a park is something new in the treatment and care of children. It’s not just a first for the UK, there’s nothing like it anywhere in Europe.

Alder Hey Children's Charity have recently launched an appeal to raise £30m to make our new Alder Hey the best it can be by providing lifesaving medical equipment, arts and play activities and funding for vital research. We're looking for people like you to #DoSomethingRemarkable and help us reach our target.
