Pioneering the next voyage is our good friend & frequent visitor to Plantera, Katie aka Lora Mipsum - a creative spirit whom we have a hoooj love & admiration for.

Co-curator of hazy Whomp's for heartfelt causes and embarking on a noble quest to unearth gems of yesteryear with her label Slush Records, we knew this care and attention to detail would run through to the voyage series. 

Showcasing the downtempo realms of their vinyl collection, Katie elegantly weaves a psychedelic excursion through blissed-out spring-time soundscapes & dream-state chillers. A timely mix of seasonal shifts through ambient rays metamorphosing into organic rhythms of the mystical, guided by the groove.

avid digger of all things psych, Sophie's eclectic sonics struck a serious chord with us here on Plantera - melding folk and mysticism throughout all she outputs, namely her monthly noodsradio slot exploring the more introspective side of her collection as well as providing a hefty dose of etheria through the medium of her redwax couldron.

for this voyage however R.E.D navigates through the gloopy ebbs and flows of the enchanting swamp; portraying sways of emotion but encouraging calm & grounding to ascend toward the glowing light.

This music is the result of a friendship established in Mexico between Marius Houschyar, Fabio Levi, Mazatl Alvarez and Mich Rubio who came together in the gardens of Central Mexico for spiritual and sonic exploration. All songs were recorded outside at the ranch of Mazatls father in Michoacán and the magical garden of the wise Abuelos in Mexico State between cactus plants and gigantic trees. The music contains mostly indigenous instruments such as flutes and ceremonial percussion instruments, as well as classical guitar, electric bass, a persian Santoor and one small keyboard. The song texts are improvised prayers in English, Spanish and Nahuatl. Every recording session started with a guided meditation and ultimately turned into a spiritual journey. A psychedelic trip telling of holy lands, the great spirits that inhabit it and a newborn, yet ancient brotherhood.

Mathilde Rocaboy et Vincent Bordessoule, aka Sioul, forment Sumu, un duo de producteurs et DJs passionnés de musique électronique. Individuellement ou ensemble, ils explorent des styles allant de l’ambient à la techno, en passant par le breakbeat. Grands collectionneurs et fervents amateurs de vinyles, ils s’inspirent de leur vaste collection pour construire des sets uniques et immersifs.

Avec leur émission mensuelle, le Pango Record Show, ils choisissent de se recentrer sur des sonorités ambient et down-tempo, en partageant leurs coups de cœur et inspirations.

Chaque mois, le Pango Record Show proposera un mix spécial conçu exclusivement pour Poush, avec des formats variés : soit un set réalisé par Sumu, soit un mix en solo de Mathilde Rocaboy ou de Sioul, ou encore un invité spécial. Les invités seront soigneusement choisis parmi leurs coups de cœur DJs et artistes, offrant des sets d’ambient qu’ils adorent et souhaitent mettre en lumière.

Ce rendez-vous radiophonique est également une introduction à l’univers du label Pango, un projet en préparation qui mêlera musique, arts visuels et collaborations interdisciplinaires.

The Pango Record Show 

Mathilde Rocaboy and Vincent Bordessoule, aka Sioul, form Sumu, a duo of producers and DJs passionate about electronic music. Individually or together, they explore styles ranging from ambient to techno, through breakbeat. Great collectors and avid vinyl lovers, they are inspired by their vast collection to build unique and immersive sets.

With their monthly show, the Pango Record Show, they choose to refocus on ambient and down-tempo sounds, sharing their favorites and inspirations.

Each month, the Pango Record Show will offer a special mix designed exclusively for Poush, with various formats: either a set made by Sumu, or a solo mix by Mathilde Rocaboy or Sioul, or a special guest. Guests will be carefully selected from their favorite DJs and artists, offering ambient sets that they love and want to highlight.

This radio event is also an introduction to the world of the Pango label, a project in preparation that will combine music, visual arts and interdisciplinary collaborations.

Pango Record Show - December

Born in Kashmir and operating between Goa and New Delhi, Zainab Wani aka Zequenx is in the midst of a transformation from the perspective of her listeners. The DJ and producer has added ambient live sets to her usual fare of four-to-the-floor dancefloor journeys. It's an addition to her musical being that is now reflected in her mixes – like the one she has made for Wild City. 

A nearly 2-hour-long affair, the sonic journey starts from ambient sound bath-like curation before the clouds of pad start giving way to percussive elements that settle to the rhythms of techno. With influences of laidback trance feeding into it, the mix presents a highly immersive state ripe for introspection while the body clings to the guttural chant of the kick drum's thump.
