Today's mix in our 'delayed x mostra' collaboration is a live recording from one of our ultimate favorites, Estrato Aurora, who joined forces with flamenco artist Ana Sola to create quite a unique symbiosis. 
The live performance of Estrato Aurora and Ana Sola at the extraMostra party in Barcelona was a stunning display of the seamless fusion of two seemingly distinct genres. As the deep techno beats unfolded, Ana Sola's soulful voice cut through the electronic soundscape with raw power and emotion. The duo's ability to bridge the gap between electronic music and traditional flamenco is impressive.
The combination of Estrato Aurora's deep techno production and Sola's passionate flamenco singing created a unique experience, showcasing the power of music to transcend genre and cultural boundaries. 

The crew behind MOSTRA has held 23 ExtraMostra events in venues and clubs of all sizes in Barcelona, as well as public facilities and other cities in Spain, such as Madrid, Valencia, and Seville. We have been abroad to London, Berlin, Porto, and Amsterdam.

- Why? Because MOSTRA wants to: 

1) To program local artists that sometimes have a hard time getting into the circuit of commercial venues and big festivals 
2) To collaborate with labels and collectives with which we feel identified or have a similar style to ours 
3) To bring artists that we really like from abroad and that usually don't come to Barcelona 
4) To bring artists from Barcelona to play abroad, Massa or Imox, for example.

Christian Duka is an electronic musician, sound artist & designer, immersive audio specialist and higher education lecturer. His musical outputs span the experimental and left-field electronic dance music both in his solo work and ongoing collaborative projects Vādin (with Avsluta) and MARMO (with Marco Maldarella). 

Christian's passion for immersive sound was sparked by a month-long residency at MONOM 4D Sound in Berlin and blossomed into his multi-disciplinary project UR: Human Presence — an artistic experience involving 3D sound, contemporary dance and performance art. Amazed by the creative potential of spatial audio, in 2019 he founded AMOENUS, an immersive art organisation that supports the development of immersive audio in the arts via R&Ds, events and workshops, most recently on their own custom made 16.4 sound system currently installed at The Bath House in London.

This week we welcome momo’s friend george, the ambient moniker of Tokyo-based, New Zealand born George Nelson. A published author, his artistic sensitivity and style of expression was developed through Japanese haiku. During formative experiences in the Taiwanese club Korner and later at the Japanese festival Rural, dancefloors became his favorite place to feel, connect and think. 

Transitioning to expressing emotions with more than a pen, momo’s friend george was a former resident of the now defunct [MISC.WAV FM] and a regular at Tokyo’s much-loved ambient party, Liminal Dreams - a party where listeners take off their shoes, lie down and reflect. This is an exert from his mix recorded at Liminal Dreams with Sapphire Slows at Traffic in August. A patient representation of how things are, slowly fading between feelings of sadness, joy and in between.

E.M.C. atmospheres - Orca Silent

This track, positioned deeper into the set, features a raw saw-wave sound sourced from the Arturia MicroFreak. Over the course of the performance, this core sound is gradually expanded and stretched into a wider texture using the Hologram Electronics Chroma Console effects pedal.

This was recorded live as part of the continuous, one-take session. For this SoundCloud version, the audio received minimal mastering in Ableton (compressor and limiter) for clarity, but the original live performance is otherwise unchanged.
