“Той рік, коли я робив цей запис, пройшов для мене під знаком Італії.  Він розпочався із ТВ-шоу "Ciao", продовжився запуском проекту Ready in LED, де ми помітно надихалися італо-диско 80-х.  А екватор року я перетнув подкастом, де зібрав свої улюблені треки з найбагатшої музичної спадщини італійської сцени – італо-фанк, естрада та навіть італійський спейс-рок.  Для різноманітності я додав до трекліста трохи урбан-соулу 90х, танцювальний балеарік і зовсім буйну екзотику: індонезійські поп-хіти або японський фанк.  Втім, я не хотів перетворити цей мікс на атракціон для дігерів та меломанів.  Слухайте його фоном і беріть із собою на пляж разом із кремом від засмаги та келихом апероля.  Я збирав ці треки саме у такій атмосфері!»

After our party in La Rotonde last week with the guys from Clandestino, we joined them in Leeds a couple of days ago for another memorable party. A perfect occasion to premiere a track off the next Joe Morris EP entitled "The Voyage", coming out on local label Balearic Social, which already gave us the Zmatsutsi EP earlier this year. The opening track "Bahia" is a finely produced slow-paced number that combinates playful chimes, Ibiza piano parts and ethereal vocal pads. The perfect balearic soundtrack for an Indian summer.

Wrapping up the Summer season for Selva Discos comes the fourth installment of the Brasingles series. This time, the label presents a slow burner from singer-songwriter Taciana Barros, taken from her only solo album "Janela dos Sonhos" (1995), produced by the mighty Mitar Subotic aka Suba.

Taciana is known for his work as singer of the band Gang 90 e as Absurdettes – one of the milestones for the Brazilian rock/new wave scene in the 80s – and her personal involvement with Suba in the early 90s led to the recording of "Janela dos Sonhos", originally released on CD and K7. The Serbian producer also contributed with a unique "extended remix" of "Tudo Faz Sentido" – and those who are slightly familiar with the Brazilian music industry knows how rare it is to have such kind of remix on an official release.

The original song is already catchy, seductive and quite polished as the best songs from that 1995 vintage are, but the Suba remix manages to take it to another level and then further, extending its mysterious atmosphere and intensifying the sexiness that lays underneath it all the way until it reaches the awesome breakdown – and then bringing the song back to a greater effect. It truly is an exquisite track that combines the excellence of Suba's production skills and Taciana's voice and songwriting talent that surely will hold the listener on repeat.

As most of the Brasingles releases, this is a loud 12" single with the original song on the A-side and a rework on the B side, to please both the DJ and the home listener.

Mister T. records (MTT) é uma crew apaixonada por música brasileira e tropical, baseada em Paris, é composta por quatro amigos: Alex Moujik , Elzibar, Val Air, Jisco Astrale. A label tem, desde 2015, uma série de podcasts que ganhou notoriedade na cena Parisiense. No viés da gravadora já prensaram alguns discos, como o do notório produtor Chevals, e estão prestes a lançar um ep com músicas tardias dos anos 80 em BPM calmo.

O foco musical da MTT é trazer novas cores para a cena de festas na França, ora na busca de artistas emergentes, ora redescobrindo artistas esquecidos, nesse mix os amigos se reúnem para uma jornada bastante atmosférica com momentos de introspecção e outros de encantamento.

Thanks to a series of podcasts launched in 2015, MTT is gaining fame in the world of Parisian electronic music, which allowed them to meet the producer Chevals, with whom they released their first vinyl in 2018.
