Symphony of the forest and breath of the ocean helped to remember how to come back to myself...A mystery revealed...Looking around and seeing the distance traveled, unbearably obvious why this necklace of events adorns my chest...And all that mind games only created unnecessary variations - apparently just for no reason, for illusional purpose, perhaps not to be bored...But was it? This is not that it all about...The most important thing - is that here and now, I am truly free...

Once having experienced these states, nostalgia periodically rolls over and the inner voice impatiently shouts:

-“I want this to happen again and again!” Do something!

Then you can feel some kind of heaviness or something...Don’t know how to describe...Oh yes! Like Sisyphus, he understands it for sure...At the peak of this experience, for some reason, a quote pops up - seems it was Nietzsche...Hmm...Or it was one of the Sufi masters...Ok, it’s not so important, the bottom line is that everything that we call matter - possesses memory and that's why I am traveling in this forest, enjoying the atmosphere and exploring new round of spiral - much further than life itself...

Layer within a celestial unity the light was beyond and within its fragments, merging into each other in eternity and becoming new chapter of Amateur Exotic mixtales!

Sorti en Novembre dernier chez le très recommandable label Shouka, le deuxième effort de l’artiste Tunisien Nuri, « Irun » , écrit sur les routes entre Lyon, Copenhague et Tunis est marqué par l’utilisation de samples de chants traditionnels d’Afrique, du Moyen-Orient ou encore d’Inde. 

Ici, le groove entêtant des basses, la furie des percussions et l’utilisation frénétique des samples donnent une impression de compositions en mouvement perpétuel, enivrantes et libres.

Agencé comme une forme de long voyage intérieur et instinctif d’une trentaine de minutes, « Irun » privilégie les structures labyrinthiques ainsi que les nombreux décrochages en y apportant des émotions contradictoires, mais aussi une jouissance d’auditeurice en quête de surprises. 
 
Le sample n’est pas ici une base voire un gadget sur lequel le musicien viendrait ajouter des éléments (voix, drums, bass, etc) mais l’inverse. Les chants traditionnels semblent venir de loin comme attirés par le magma du son. Fantomatiques, ils viennent dialoguer, questionner et perturber notre rapport à l’espace, à la narration. Ils fonctionnent en objet mental, intérieur, mélancolique, cathartique. 

On pense évidemment à Clap!Clap! voire à certains morceaux du 2eme disque de Ammar 808 mais surtout au Leeds de Marcelo Bielsa : poésie du mouvement, prise de risque, perdre ou gagner mais en allant toujours de l’avant, sans réfléchir, en suivant toujours son instinct. 

Pour cette première émission, Nuri nous fait l’honneur d’une mixtape introspective et haute en couleurs qu’il décrit en ces termes : 

« Une collection de musiques que j'écoutais tout le temps ou presque en boucle ces dernières années, j'ai inclus bien sûr quelques morceaux à moi que je voulais partager avec vous. La plupart de ces tracks m'accompagnaient tout simplement dans les moments de joie et de fête ainsi que les moments intenses et parfois tristes,  par exemple avec les chansons de Nina Simone et Labess qui à chaque moment que je les écoute m'ouvrent l'esprit et me donnent une forte charge énergétique. »
