Get on board, kids. Coldfish's work stands out of everything we've heard in the scene for a while. WIth a keen ear for structure & rhythm and impressive technical skills, Coldfish performed an outstanding 2 hours live set at Alandala NYE in the picturesque landscape near lake Belis, Romania. His compositions created an atmosphere in which the best navigation tools were our senses. We wanted to share with you this special experience.

“I felt very honoured to be invited to Waha again after a two year break. I would like to say thanks to Tudor and Monica and the whole crew. I was so overwhelmed by the reaction of the audience, just fantastic. Thanks to everybody, who was there, danced and shared these moments. Thanks to Bucuresti Underground to give me the possibility to share it again with you I hope this one feeds your memory again with all the love and peace we all felt at Waha. 

As you can hear my performance has some quite controversial moments like in the beginning, a recording I did on a protest march in Berlin, a moment, when the situation was escalating nearly. I mean we should not take love and peace for granted or democracy or life at all. We sometimes have to fight for our ideals and values, for equal rights, for freedom, for tolerance, for others or for nature and definitely we have to fight against fascism, racism, oppression, exploitation and so on. This all is very important for me and this is also a part of my music. Waha 2019 was such a great experience for me. I received so much love and all you gave me so much motivation to continue what I do. Thanks you very much!

It is with great pride and gratification we announce that Triptease is joining our roster.   In order to celebrate the occasion we decided to put out their recording from Perfect Sundays x Yoyaku night at Hoppetosse last December.

Triptease is a cutting edge musical experiment performed by Topper, Jacopo, Francesco and Hugo, conceived in Turin and then transplanted in Berlin in the mid 2000s. Triptease live is a vision born on one of those inspired morning hours, opening up new ways of looking at the world. 

The idea behind their live performance stands for the best traditions of electronic music itself. They blend together polyrhythmic grooves and harmonic atmospheres in an uninterrupted flow of sound layers. Their live performance recreates the dynamics of studio improvisation where synths, guitars, samplers and drum machines interweave together endlessly.

Triptease performed live at iconic venues such as Club der Visionaere and Hoppetosse in Berlin, Fuse in Brussels, Mutabor in Moscow, Studio 338 and Red Gallery in London amongst others delivering hours of everchanging beats and sparkling musical ideas.

Many musicians and producers - to name a few Claudio Puntin, Cesar Merveille, Yonatan Levi, Greg Paulus, Ion Ludwig, Samuel Roher and Daniele Papini -  have joined their improv project through the years and contributed to the experimentation.

From this perspective, their live set crosses over between music and technology, with its power to form networks and scenes that are a catalyst for creation and transformation in the form of live and studio performances.

Their debut album “Mescaleros” will be out on Visionquest in 2020.

Toi Toi Mix Series 28 by Triptease

It is precisely in times like these that we realize that nothing is taken for granted, not even a late-afternoon beer in the company of your closest friend at one of the most iconic Berlin's spot, the Hoppettose. In fact, the infamous boat - alongside CDV - has been one of the favourites Triptease's location to perform their amazing live set made by using midi and electric guitars (Hugo and Francesco), modular synthesizers and drum machines (Topper), synthesizers and samplers (Jacopo) and a vast array of eFX pedals they create a soundscape completely fresh while retaining the signature sound of the city they call home. This session comes from last September, where the four Italian gringos invited their friend Yonatan Levi, making the atmosphere even more unique and exceptional. Enjoy the moment...
