For episode four of MARKHAM we've connected with Amsterdam based artist Nèna. A dreamy landscape sets the scene for this mix, weaving through both lengthened cords and chugging low end. Nèna is no stranger to bass-heavy beats, leaving listeners enamoured both at live events and on radio broadcasts on the likes of @radioradiofm / @radiotemponaopara / @strandedfm

For the first hour, Beat Craft invites Trails, an emerging Bristol-based DJ and producer, focused on blurring the lines between genres with forward-thinking productions and mixes. 

We discovered Trails while trawling on Band Camp immediately dug his sound. This mix confirms the lad's skills and his selection is right up our alley. Definitely one to be looking out for in Bristol, London and beyond.

For the second hour, Ziko plays a vinyl-only selection of wonked-out house for more curious grooveseekers. One for the headphones, after-hours sessions, or your local audiophile bar to accompany some overpriced cocktails and tapas.

Stepping up for an exciting entry in the Rhythmic Culture podcast series this week is Noods Radio and Psychotherapy Sessions resident k means. Taking her name from an algorithm that she used when writing a music recommendation system, k means has a soft spot for the darker and weirder facets of music. The Stockholm-born, London-based DJ, who got into electronic music through video games, forms one half of Avant Garbage with DJ ojo, whose show on Netil Radio explores the stranger margins of electronic music, and with Sarjan Paul she runs grassroots London club night Expansion Pak, with a commitment to booking under-the-radar talent.

In her mix she serves up all sorts of mind bending treats ranging from haunting and hypnotic sounds to sweaty party steppers and back to window-shaking-basslines, making it an hour long musical ping-pong that makes you want to come back for more.
