For our 5th Essentials, FunkyKid takes us on an energizing stroll.

 FunkyKid (Salma) is Tunisian Berlin-based DJ/Producer. She plays fast-paced Techno with tinges of Psytrance while driving great inspiration from 90s Hard Trance rave music. Salma started her DJing journey in 2022 with her involvement in La Fabrique Art Studio & FeMENA Network which is a community-driven arts inclusive platform that supports emerging artists and creatives in Tunisia, especially women and non-binary persons. In Berlin, she is part of the big network Female:Pressure and the Eclat Crew Collective. Playing with music that glides past 145 BPM, she tries to keep her sets well-fit for a dancefloor.

FunkyKid is Tunisian Berlin-based Producer/DJ. Her sound is an eclectic force of rapid kicks and hihats. Her music is inspired by her day-to-day migrant experience reflected in her hard dance and almost trancy rhythms. 
This podcast is a break out of the entrenched structures of the world we live in. It spans from hard trance to raw, pumping techno with versatile and incendiary undertones.

Hello tout le monde! Vous écoutez Arabstract Digging, l‘émission dédiée aux musiques et culture du Mashriq au Maghreb.
Pour cet épisode j'ai voulu rendre Hommage à la musique Égyptienne à travers des extrait des musiques de film des parodies musicales d'époque et bien entendus des classiques intemporelles.
J’ai vraiment pris plaisir à réaliser cette sélection car elle m’ a rappelé beaucoup de moment de mon enfance quand je regardais la télé ou des VHS durant mes vacances au maroc dans les années 90, et c’est sans plus attendre que je vais vous partager cette sélection. Bonne écoute !
