Louis Michot is a Grammy award winning fiddle player and singer for Lost Bayou Ramblers, and in 2023 released his debut solo album “Rêve de Troubadour”. In 2018, Michot founded Nouveau Electric Records, promoting experimental and traditional around Louisiana French. In early 2020 Louis was named ‘Louisianian of the Year’ in 2020 along with his brother Andre. Louis began incorporating solar technology into his music operations in 2020, with a solar powered studio and a mobile solar music stage dubbed the “Solar Roller” This work also bled into doing hurricane relief work as noted in Rolling Stone (Can This Cajun-Punk Musician Protect His Culture From Climate Change?, September 16, 2021) while raising funds to procure solar generators and panels for residents of Terrebonne Parish affected by Hurricane Ida, as written about in New Yorker magazine (The Lost Bayou Ramblers Get Lit, January 3, 2022).

was born out of the perfect storm of an (some might say over) abundance of records and an increasing dis-inclination to DJ for drunk people who want me to plug in their phones. So with some inspo from Ken Nordine I (@untilclutter) retired to my rudimentary home studio and set out to make what? A radio show? Sorta. Narrate what I been reading lately, field recordings, sound bytes, jokes, stories, noise, but mostly music. I wanted to create something, and what do people make now? Podcasts. A record party podcast. Records as therapy. When I moved from NYC to England I filled the house and from that comes a serendipitous playlist radiating out from the year of '71(the epicenter)…ear worms, old and new faves, overheard gems, stolen anthems…warning: partial to acid casualties and there's always gonna be one jam that seems to go on too long! For heads for sure but I wanna get the music out to everybody. You'd be amazed by the songs people haven't heard. 
I teamed up with Thom Mountford @tjmwork, as we are on the same wavelength (we get high on the same supply!) (usually mine!), to pair his art with my tunes. 
This is a special all vinyl mix on the theme of: Missed Connections. (Believe it or 
nuts, recorded before the current mundanity insanity.)
