this is chapter 5 in a series of mixes called 'trust me i was there' - these tracks were being played in clubs i was going to and on pirate radio in london. clubs like echos by the bow flyover, genesis, sunrise, energy and the first world dance! by '89 i was djing a bit, at house parties and the odd club.
radio wise, centreforce was the big one for me. i think fantasy started in 89 or 90 and that was another good one. back then they only broadcast at weekends, and even then it was on and off - so when they were on you'd grab a tdk d90 for the rest of the week. 
 if i dig out any other 1989 tracks i'll upload em somehow but for now this is the end of my 89 selection.

KorneJ - Varushniak Summer Mix 2024 (Radio Plato Guest List #156)

Today on the Guest List - Project 2DA plays electronic live on air

Project 2DA is a new stage of creativity of Artyom and Dzianis, who have been working under the name of art project ?! 

The band has traveled a long way: from experimental electronic to psychedelic and ambient, released 5 albums and gave a lot of live performances. In 2016, the project went away from life: all the members moved to different parts of the world. But in 2022, after a further change, it resumed its activity under a new name - 2DA (read as “There”, “2DA”).

Nowadays the band regularly gathers at rehearsals, experiments with bands and gives live performances. The most important performance will take place on October 15 at the Fuji: closed door festival.

Some tracks from the live set will be played, and the rest of the hour will be occupied by improvisation.

Let's go through the Guest List and check out O'Pete - a record collector and DJ from Belarus, who is currently based in Warsaw. He is a promoter of the garbat krama and record label “Teachangers”, the main idea of which is the connection of Chinese garbata with electronic music and dance scene in Europe, as a great giver of energy, focus and attitude. 

He started his career in 2021, when he practiced at the dances of such cult dancers of Mensk as “Huligan”, Modul and Dream.

A sophisticated approach to music selection and thoughtful choice of tracks results in a characteristic mix of electro, techne and chaos, which leads to a unique but harmonious fusion of lips that we smell in today's mix.

A new guest mix by Pasha Tyts-Tyts — the head of the Belarusian label @BacksideSlice and curator of the BS Mixes show on Radio Plato.
