This episode of Mindspring Music Series features Looney Grandpas,  two guys from Croatia joined by their passion for weird, glitchy and dubby sounds, but most of all, traditional, ethnic and world music. With nearly 2 decades of production under his belt, Emir had his first vinyl released back in 2003 (for Hadshot) with his tech project Shuma, followed by numerous releases on Tribal Vision, Beef Records, Gastspeil and more. Goran, a world class percussionist is a passionate collector of exotic drums and percussion instruments. Having played with numerous live bands and live acts throughout his career gave him the signature style that his live drumming adds and brings to life an organic engagement, that special touch. This set contains all original works produced by Emir and Goran, mastered by Stephen Moon and mixed by Looney Grandpas

LOONEY GRANDPAS | Mindspring Music Series Ep. 9 | 15/02/2022

This Mindspring Music selection episode features GLEEKCH with a set taking you on an uplifting, glitchy and psychedelic journey, exploring the vibrations between 80 to 180 Bpm. The Gleekch project was born in 2014, an experiment with DAW to create deconstructed melodies and breakbeat. Gleekch's music is lost somewhere between the realms of his influences. The dub aspects are nested in between some verdant trees and a broken computer, and on top of it, some acoustic instruments to make it feel alive.

DeathMomenT is the brainchild of Florida-based artist and Dubspot NYC Alumni (2014-15) Jesse Robbins. This world renown school for electronic music production, mixing, and mastering set the path to the future for Robbins. His musical journey of playing keys and guitar, to sound design of his own signature ethereal sounds, taking listeners on a journey to the unknown. The title 'Momento mori' is a play on the symbolic trope 'Memento Mori' - reminding us of the inevitability of death.
We live in a world focused on light and the pursuit of happiness. There are endless amounts of stories guiding us towards light. But, in the last years i have learnt that we connect better in the shadow of sadness.
Bodies connect in pleasure, but souls connect in pain.
'Remembering Death', is holding onto life.
Death/loss has surrounded me in the past years. And it sits around us all.
Being grateful for every moment. For every emotion.
Its ok, to not be ok.
To hold on.
That is the only play to make.
