We welcome Volcano on Mars for another visit to Shamanic Tales with a massive remix to "Awake the Snake", Astrix & Tristan's collaboration from Astrix's last album. The original has been causing havoc on dancefloors for quite a few years now and was of the guys' favourite on the album. They took on the challenge of remixing the track and managed to keep the original vibe and at the same time give it a whole new feel with a crazy hook. ZEGOTHA’s passion for psychedelic trance dates back to around 2002 but his active involvement only started a bit later as he was still drumming in a hardcore band at the time. He has always been fascinated by darker, more twisted, faster sounds of psy music. His first gig was in 2004, followed by more and more invites to play at smaller, more private events, where he loves playing ever since. In 2006 he started producing music and also joined the Phazy M’ulator darkpsy project. After a number of gigs and track releases on international labels, this period ended in 2008 but he has continued making music: more recently co-creating with his friends, Nasgul, Madrabit, Acid Goblin.
Since the Phazy M’ulator split, he is mainly focused on playing DJ sets, many times with his friend Monga at parties in his home country and several times as a solo act around Europe: at Slovakian festivals, in Belgrade as a returning guest of the Planet Psychedleic party series, to name a few. He regularly performs at DarkAngels Gatherings, has shared the stage with famous international artists at Twisted Tower events, is part of the Psychotria Records and member of the ‘Budapest in the Dark’ crew. He is present on the lineups of festivals such as Psyweekend, Chillweekend, 4.49 Festival, Inner Waves, X-Files Camp, MAJOR Festival. Since 2014 he is also a returning artist on the O.Z.O.R.A. stages, last time playing before Fungus Funk. More recently his passions are concentrated on psytrance, psychedelic and hypnotic techno, but he also loves playing darkprog – zenonesque and darkpsy sets and is looking forward to the many gigs at home and abroad you can hear him performing at in the near future.

Aphrodite is the Greek goddess of love, beauty, pleasure, and procreation who arose out of sea foam on the coast of Cyprus. Therefore she is also known under the name Cypris, her Roman equivalent is the goddess Venus and she is also identified with the Ancient Egyptian goddess Hathor. Myrtle, doves, sparrows, horses, and swans were said to be sacred to her. 
Her father Zeus fears that because of Aphrodite's beauty other gods will become rivals to possess her. Therefore he marries her off to the god of smithing Hephaestus, who is overjoyed to be married to the goddess of beauty. He manifactures her stunning jewelry that make her even more irresistible to others.
As one of the Twelve Olympians of the Greek pantheon and thus a major deity, worship of Aphrodite, (or Aphrodíti), as a living goddess is one of the more prominent devotionals in Hellenismos (Hellenic Polytheistic Reconstructionism)the revival of ancient Greek religious practices in the present day.
This set is a recording from a nice outdoor party by Sound Elements Productions near Nikosia in April 2016 where i played a set into sunrise.

We present Scottish psy representative QUADRANT of Maharetta Records, with a short talk followed by his mix showcasing the soundscapes from and around Planet Gallovidia.

Quadrant is the solo Psychedelic Trance project of Edinburgh based DJ/Producer Ali Mudie. Originally formed in 2015 with Jon Townshend, Ali has since taken the project on by himself and released his Debut EP “Planet Gallovidia” in july 2017 on Maharetta Records. With releases on well-respected labels such as Purple Hexagon records, Woodog recordings , Forestdelic records and Bom Shanka Music, His live set has been performed across European cities & festivals with a great reception. He has had a number of collaborative projects & remixes on the go with artists such as Fagin’s Reject, Asimilon, Gaspard & Released a track with Chris Rich on his debut album “quantum soup”.

In the next epiosde of Sangoma Records series you can listen to a fresh mix by Russian label producer, FUNGUS FUNK.

Fungus Funk is Sergei Prilepa, an established psychedelic trance musician from Moscow, Russia. Sergei started producing psytrance in 1998, and he has been releasing music since 2001. Over the past 15 years, Fungus Funk has put out his compilation tracks on numerous other labels. To his credit are four well-received full length albums: ‘F-People’ (2006) on Acidance, ‘Vostok 1’ (2008) together with Samadhi on Blitz Studios, ‘Electric Grooves’ (2010) also on Blitz Studios, and ‘Kremlin Gremlin’ (2012) on his own label Unlimited Music. Additionally, Sergei also released four acclaimed EPs. Fungus Funk’s sound is not easy to define as it incorporates features from different sub-genres of psytrance and generally tends to change from album to album. Regardless of which version of Fungus Funk you get to experience, it is guaranteed to be full of fat well defined basslines, powerful psychedelic leads, and top-notch sequencing. Courtesy of his productive musical output and subsequent popularity in the international psytrance scene, Fungus Funk regularly travels the globe and plays his live and DJ sets at various dance music events. Among some of the bigger festivals he has appeared at are the well-known Boom Festival (Portugal), O.Z.O.R.A. Festival, Sonica (Italy), Antaris (Germany), Transcendence (Brazil), and Hadra (France) among others.

Tsubi has been an active member of the Hungarian psy scene since the 2000’s. He has been a resident DJ of the Avatar party series since the very beginning and also at O.Z.O.R.A. Festival, where he also plays a big role in program organizing and managing the festival’s web radio. In the past years he has played at all the noteworthy local psytrance events, in many European countries, and has also been invited to perform in Japan, India, Israel and Brazil. From the mega summer festivals besides O.Z.O.R.A. he has blasted the dancefloors of Boom, Sonica, Glade, Full Moon and S.U.N. festivals too.
More recently, he and Dr Space have launched their own party series, Labirhythm, presenting the artists and music that stand close to their heart to the Budapest audience.

As regards his style, Tsubi loves and is able to move among a really wide spectrum of sounds, he is relentless (and unwavering) in his search for the most contemporary soundscapes and the most unique tracks. With his two other projects, TSB and Tsu, his focus is on downtempo and techno, respectively.

In this episode, the focus is on Portuguese artists, RAFYX from Reversible Records. Check out his interview on Ozorian Prophet.

RAFYX is a young project created by the fine touch of Rafa, 30, from Portugal. Raised where psytrance is a niche music style and thus pretty inaccessible to the many, he had to face a difficult challenge in order to get to know the million faces of psychedelic music. This 6-years journey of self-teaching, travelling, creating connections and exploring music production, brought him to join the Reversible Records project in 2017. His debut track “Before Drop” – included in the VA “Another World” – is groovy and energetic, spiced up by uplifting harmonies and acid vibrant sounds.
Rafyx is a project aimed at creating something different and powerful. It is an explosion of sexy and hypnotic beats with the fusion of psychedelic, electrifying and contagious effects that will put dancefloors on fire.
After a collaboration track with Mono Sapiens, released on 24/7 Records, Rafyx is currently busy with the production of his new 5 tracks EP which will be out on Reversible Records on February the 4th. Save the date.

Voltado ao Disco/Soul/Jazz/Boogie, 78' é o mais novo projeto de Rodrigo Ferrari orientado pelo estilo que marcou os anos 70 e 80 e foi decisivo para consolidação do que hoje nós chamamos de "House Music", o projeto é apresentado junto a festa que leva o mesmo nome de seu alter ego quinzenalmente em São Paulo no paradisíaco rooftop do Vista Ibirapuera.

Musico por vocação, cursou o IAV Brasil(Instituto de Áudio e Vídeo) em 2000, e logo depois em 2004 estava formado pela britânica SAE (School of Audio Engineering - Londres), uma das mais conceituadas escolas de produção e engenharia de áudio. 

Tanto ministra cursos, como realiza o que queira em seu estúdio. Assina trilhas, jingles, jobs publicitários, produções para rádio e suporte para outros DJs, produtores e músicos. Mas é no desenvolvimento de suas composições musicais e remixes que Ferrari tem ultimamente recebido atenção internacional. 

Com seu primeiro lançamento oficial em 2005, e em crescimento constante, muitos têm sido seus releases por conceituados selos: Get Physical, Selectechouse, Deeplomatic, East Recordings, BBE, I!Records, Proton, além de participar de expressivas compilações nacionais e internacionais. 

Suporte de artistas como Richie Hawtin, Marco Carola, Stefano Noferini, Roy Davis Jr, Joseph Capriati, Tom Findlay, entre outros. Suas criações fazem parte dos mais concorridos e visitados portais do e-commerce: Beatport, Traxsource, Juno, iTunes, Amazon, estando constantemente entre as mais vendidas, confirmadas pelas ótimas colocações nos top 100 charts.

Além disso, foram mais de 15 anos nas rádios (2001-2016), em algumas das principais emissoras de São Paulo, começando na Metropolitana FM e logo depois na Energia 97FM. Atualmente participa dos mais concorridos programas e podcasts online, encontrados nos principais veículos voltados à musica eletrônica (Soundcloud, Mixcloud, Spotify, Deezer), além de suas redes sociais onde sempre atento traz informações atualizadas e sets de quem está movimentando as pistas.

Radiozora’s local marathonist RF-CREW is back for the umpteenth time! You can listen to this four-hour psychedelic madness by the six label-members @ 4pm CET – live & direct from the studio. Stay tuned!

It would be difficult to remember the exact details of how the team was born after so much time, but one thing is certain – the Rf-Crew is the 2.0 version of an exceptional, music-mad group of friends. Founding members and name-givers: Dj Szamy & Dj Ad-M.
The crew first started spreading their wings around 2003 in “the heart of the Great Alföld (Hungarian Plain)” and was hugely inspired by the welcome their smaller-larger outdoor and indoor attempts to fly got. This is exactly what they needed. Thanks to the initial success and motivation, the path, idea and attitude towards life that the team would have liked to follow started unfolding in front of them.

Their first bigger milestone was the Tiszaparty organized in 2006 where the visitors were no longer entertained solely by Rf-Crew DJs, but also by the whole Hungarian goa scene’s cream of the crop who made their appearance as well. A long line of Tisza-parties followed, held in each consecutive year (2006,2007,2008,2009,2010). The great news of the weekend-long mini festival spread quickly and even crossed borders. There were more than 1000 visitors at the 2008 party held on the Rákóczifalva beach. In the meantime the Rf-Crew joined forces with the other big Alföld-based group of party organizers, the Thermal Team, which resulted in a series of psychedelic parties held in the Mindszent castle-spa; the Tavaszi Zsongás and Red October and later the Summer Open Air and Psylvester as well. It wasn’t long before the Mindszent castle became the “citadel of Alföld goa”, featuring local and foreign artists such as: Para Halu, Kalumet, Aurafood, Venom Sense, Deto, Mindflow, Yarn, Snag the Sunshepherd, JIS, Big Bacterials, Parallel Dialog, Champa, Basic, The Freak Show.

The Rf-Crew continues to play a significant role in the local goa scene today keeping true to their original philosophy. The events hosted by them are hallmarked by high standards, diversity and popularity. You can find their DJs on the lineups of many psychedelic music events.

SATI is truly in a class of her own, having played in the techno and psychedelic scenes for over a decade.   Member of EXPO RECORDS, MANDALA BOOKING & PSY SISTERS , Sati has come up through the ranks to become one of London’s most prestigious psy-trance DJs.  Her dark, driving and full on sets leave crowds waiting on the dancefloor for her sets to begin. Her skills behind the decks have earn her an army of fans around the globe, including countries such as Sweden, Poland, Germany, Spain, Israel and Italy. If there is an underground psy event in London, you are most likely to see Sati on the line up!  Sati has also performed in some of London’s most iconic clubs such as O2 Academy, Brixton Academy, Ministry of Sound, and the once renowned Fridge club in Brixton.  She has also ventured into music production, and stormed the psy-trance Beatport chart to no.5 in 2014 with her debut EP ‘Yesta’ released on Panmusic Records.  Her talents extend to graphic design, and her psychedelic art is in high demand for party flyers and album releases. She is a freelance graphic designer for labels such as IONO, TECHSAFARI, EXPO, also working with NANO RECORDS, IBOGA, DIGITAL OM and many more.

StarLab is a project initialised by Bharat from New Delhi, India. Training in Indian Classical Music laid the musical foundations for Bharat at a very early age. Over the years, as a self taught Vocalist, Bass & Guitar player he gathered a wealth of experience touring and recording with his band for over a decade until he encountered the hypnotic sound of Psychedelic Trance Music at a beach party in Goa, India. This strongly affected his musical persona after which he began to teach himself synthesis & music production and project StarLab was born. In 2011 he went to California USA to study music and quickly became a popular DJ in the California scene and gained a lot of experience playing many local parties and festivals. On returning to India in 2013 he joined ranks with India’s premier record label Digital Om Productions as Live Act and since then he has gone on to make countless releases with the most well known record labels and perform in top festivals and venues in India and around the world in USA, Mexico, Brazil, Japan, Portugal, France, Germany, Serbia, Croatia, Switzerland, Spain, Thailand, Nepal. These include Main Stage performances in famous festivals such as Universo Paralello – Brazil, Antaris Project- Germany, Shankra Festival- Switzerland, Exit Festival- Serbia, Electric Daisy Carnival – India, Sunburn Festival – Goa, Universal Religion – Nepal, Experience – Thailand and many more. StarLab has released music with renowned labels such as Digital Om, IONO Music, Techsafari, TesseracTstudio, Sacred Technology and also selected by ASTRIX for his VA compilation Book of Changes on Future Music Records.
