We wish we had fewer doubts in our lives, less of what drives us to despair, less peevishness. We long for more moments that let our souls bounce, when our hearts beat that one beat faster. More ease, love and tears of joy - all of this as much as possible: Mehr is Mehr! Rosalie and Vera have walked through the meadow of this crazy life since 2013, not only as part of a musical duo but one in their private lives as well. They clicked from the get go and started off as partners in crime on Berlins notorious dance floors. Always front row and with the beat in their hearts. They soon realized they wanted more! It was clear very early that their place was not destined to be in front of the Dj but behind the decks. Then and there they scraped together their last money and bought their first Dj equipment. Soon after they went on a wild ride through the cities main clubs, touring the country and seizing every festival opportunity. In 2017 Mehr is Mehr joined the Wuza Crew and have since turned a lot of parties into magical places together. Categorizing is usually not their thing but if you had to describe their sound it would go something like this: driving crisp beats paired with melodic elements - techno without monotony and a never ceasing mischievous smile.

Dein Stil in 3 Worten: 
bouncy, rollend, groovy 

Seit wann legst du auf und was gefällt dir daran am besten? 
Seit 2017 öffentlich. Das beste daran ist, dass ich mit den Sounds die ich spiele, meine Gefühle ausdrücken und verarbeiten kann und dass ich mit meinen Lieblingstracks die Leute zum Tanzen bringe/ in Ekstase versetze.

Was war dein bisher schönster Gig (und warum)? 
Mein schönster Gig war im Februar 2020 bei Rauschen im Watergate mit der Kaffeeklatsch Crew. Ich habe auf dem wunderschönen Waterfloor ein 3-stündiges Opening Set vor all meinen Freunden und einer wunderbar feiernden Crowd gespielt, mit der Spree im Hintergrund.

Wo siehst du dich in 1 Jahr?
Hoffentlich endlich wieder vor einem prall gefüllten Floor.

Wie verbringst du am liebsten deinen Abend nach einem harten Arbeitstag?
Wenn es noch hell ist am liebsten an einer Tischtennisplatte mit meinen Freunden und einem kalten Bier in der Hand.

Möchtest du uns sonst noch etwas mitteilen ?

Maksim Dark has established himself as a prolific powerhouse on the scene over the past decade
 - his instantly recognisable style being picked up and celebrated by some of the top names in
the game. The Russian producer burst into people’s consciousness in 2011, winning the ear of
techno royalty like Richie Hawtin and Dubfire. 

Insomnia contains 13 tracks of the talented Russian’s signature sound - tough, shadowy techno
that grooves hard and is shot through with attitude and style. From opener ‘Dominator’ through
to Dark’s personal favorite ‘Globalize’ and other highlights such as the LP’s lead single ‘Loud
Rave’ and brooding closing track ‘Noah’, this long-player could be one of Dark’s epic sets behind
the decks. There’s linearity to the journey and each track seems to complement the other. Drums
hit hard, pitched down vocals add the edge, and his beautifully-designed laser-sharp synths cut
through everything creating the ultimate soundtrack to the nights we want never to end.

Maksim created a full mix of his album, within a stunning location in a rural area of Russia. Combing his dark sounds with an incredible location. Clearly enjoying his album:

After discovering the special Berlin underground club scene Núria started her career as a techno dj. Behind the decks, she always has the energy to make set the dance floors on fire . She was able to spread her melodic deep  techno music style through various events and clubs in Berlin. 
She is a Part of the  @fhainest Collective and @raveforgoodmusic collective.

INTERVIEW:
1. Wie lange legst du nun schon, auf und was hat dich dazu bewegt, anzufangen? Hattest du Support dabei, oder wie hast du das Auflegen gelernt?

Núria: Die Musik war immer ein sehr wichtiger Teil meines Lebens. Wenn ich glücklich, traurig, allein oder mit anderen bin. Ich bin immer gefräßig neue Tracks zu entdecken und sie noch 1000 Mal zu hören. Mein Interesse am Auflegen begann Ende 2019 in Katerblau. Ich kann mich noch erinnern, wie schön das Set war und plötzlich hatte ich dieses Gefühl, den nächste Track in meinem Kopf zu finden und zu mixen! Direkt am nächsten Tag habe ich mir einen kleinen Mixer und kleine Lautsprecher gekauft und habe angefangen das Ding an den Start zu bringen. Viele Videos auf Youtube geschaut, Viele Freunde von mir gefragt bis endlich etwas ging. Dann kurz danach kam Corona. Der DJ Mixer war meinen bester Freund! Ich habe ohne Ende aufgelegt. Trotz Corona kann nach vier Monaten die erste Anfrage von RaveForGood Kollektiv zum Auflegen bei ihrem Online Festival vom Dies|DAS Kollektiv. Ich habe mich damals so gefreut und das Gefühl gehabt, dass die Reise gerade erst begonnen hat.

2. Was ist ein der bisher unvergesslichste Moment beim Auflegen für dich gewesen? 

Núria: Zwei Momente werde ich nie vergessen. Das erste Mal im Club aufzulegen war im Kitkatclub für einen Live Stream von Symbiotikka. Ich hatte die Nacht davor so viel Angst und konnte nicht gut schlafen. 
Aber in dem Moment, indem ich den ersten Track gestartet habe, habe ich einen neun Zustand erlebt in dem ich in Realität und einem Traum zur gleichen Zeit war. 
Das zweite unvergessliche Erlebnis, war das Auflegen für die Demo „Gerade Denken“ am Brandenburger Tor, das ich zusammen mit meinem Kollektiv „Fhainest“ organisiert habe. Ich kann das Gefühl nicht beschreiben, wenn man den Kopf hebt und zum ersten Mal so viele Menschen von seiner Musik tanzen sieht. Auf jeden Fall einer der schönsten Momenten meines Lebens.

3.Was wünschst du dir, sollte in Zukunft in der Clubszene .anders laufen? 

Núria: In Berlin gibt es viele talentierte Djs. Viele kann man nicht sehen, weil sie nicht die Chance haben sich zu zeigen. Ich wünsche mir, dass das Auflegen weniger durch Kontakte/Beziehungen laufen würde und dass es mehr Raum für die versteckten Talente gäbe.


4. Gibt es irgendeine Arbeit oder ein Projekt das dir gerade sehr am Herzen liegt? 
Núria: Das Kollektiv Fhainest. Die Projekte, die es macht. Die Mühe die sich die Mitglieder machen und die Begeisterung, die sie dabei haben. Die Kreativität wie das "TechnoBike" und die zusammenarbeit mit sehr tollen Veranstalter:innen und Djs. Mich macht sehr Stotz ein Teil davon zu sein.

5. Hast du für die kommenden Monate Pläne, die du mit uns teilen möchtest? 

Núria: Es gibt viele Pläne die ich mit euch teilen möchte, aber zurzeit kann ich nichts sagen, da man wegen der Beschränkungen langfristig nicht vorplanen kann. Aber wir können uns auf das kommenden Jahr freuen. Garantiert wird es uns viel Spaß bringen!
